Pretend I'm a Can't fan. This is what I'm doing right now... Ford will have a tough time for the next couple of years. With Mike Scott and Ham-n-Cheese graduating, they almost have no height. He will also have to deal with all the people Christian recruited for next year. Can't (I hope) will be down for a while. Come on Akron keep Dambrot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But good luck to Christian at TCU. I loved how classy he was. I will always remember the game this year at Can't State when there was that fight at the end. The classless Can't students really prooved that the sign they held up (We Suck) was true. They started throwing stuff at Earthquade and onto the court. Christian grabbed the mic and announced for them to stop. That's a classy move right there. Good luck to Christian. Wouldn't be that bad to see TCU on a future schedule.

Oh baby!!!!!!! This is truely our year. Nobody not even Can't "classless" State can take this away from us. They beat us twice this year in the REGULAR SEASON. So what? that doesn't matter. This is tourney time. Anything can happen. Especially a butt whoopin' on Can't State. I hate Can't state with a passion. That is why I dont think that Miami is going to get past Can't tonight. Third game in 3 days. I expect that Can't will try to force an uptempo game, and wear them down. They are only 6-7 guys deep, too.But they scored 74 against OU!!!! I'm sorry but if they can do that, I might lean towards Can't. Plus I was in the restroom yesterday at the Q and over heard some Can't guys talking. They were saying how they wanted to play Akron so they could kick out butts again. Then how they would hear about the ref excuses and other excuses on why they didn't make the post-season. These were business like people. Gosh that school is classless. I was right there too with my cape on. :blink:

Well part of that was because Can't was in our face with good defense the whole game and we couldn't get a good look. I'm not saying it lost the game, I'm just saying tougher defense works. Look at Tennessee. They play one of the best defenses I've seen. I mean I know they have athletes, but still, Bruce Pearl is making sure their defense is up at all times.

Anybody else think we need to get tougher on defense? Can't is tough and look what happened. I mean they can play too tough and foul a lot, but a lot of times it works. They dive after balls. They never let people back them down. We play softer D. I'm not sure if KD is looking for tougher and it's just not happening, but I think we need to get tougher. By the way, I'm not trying to be like Can't. In order to do that you need your hippies license. You also need to have the guts to shout during the National Anthem. We can never be classless hippies. Ummmm nope, I won't. It was apparent to every Akron or non-partisan fan in attendance. They bumped, they slapped, they swatted, they reached and more often than not, nothing was called. I won't bring it up if it doesn't happen.It was the non-calls that made me mad. That last second 3, Fisher pushed off on Dials to:A. Clear space.B. Catch his balance.C. Both.If you chose C. (in my opinion) I think you are correct. But yet again like a lot of the night, there was no call when we needed it. Also I noticed that a lot of the time there was a ticky-tack foul called on Akron when the crowd started to get into it. Now I don't know what that was about, but it happens a lot.

It's CAN'T STATE! I draw the line there. Plus if the committee knows that , then why invite them. Last year we were snubbed from both tourneys. This year I hope Can't gets snubbed from the NCAA. Let's go Zips! Knock off those flushes!

That's a waste as of right now, but who knows. There program could sky rocket once they get the right players and personnel in there. Akron's did. You've gotta love the student section and how it goes up. I hate Akron's student section. When it goes up like that, there are different things you can do.

I asked around by my seat .. and it was suggested he is not healthy at the moment. Don't know if it's lingering effects of the flu he had .. or something else, but if you watch him, he isn't moving with much energy at all out there. Hope he's back soon. Another defender will help in Cleveland.Last time I saw, his finger was really taped up. I hope that's not something big.

I watched the ODU vs. VCU game. Those refs let them play. I hate that because I think we started to change our game because of it. I do think that that one shot blocking dude was climbing some backs or bumping our guys out of position to get the block. 24 is like Chris Singletary. He follows his man with his arms up like "I'm not doing anything." I also think VCU plays a little dirty when they foul. Quade should've been at the line alone early in the game when he was shoved on a dunk that wasn't called an intentional then back at it for the free throws from the foul.But even though all those things occured, 28% shooting is unexceptable. Period. I hope KD takes J-Wood and makes him all day shoot those bunnies. He misses so many. Wide open 3's missed. We were just not on our offensive game today.Oh yea Dials' shot at the end...

That would be fun just for a halftime event once. They should have a Rowdie mud-slide competition. You could know the game before and then bring a change of clothes. And then just slide in the mud at halftime. Doesn't even have to be on the field. Could be where the grass is. Just saying.

My mom and I were talking, and we were thinking that if J Wood comes back and has a game at least before the Can't game or before the tourney, that this season could still be something. Come on Zips let's finish strong!!!!!!

Coach D says he will not play anyone that does not play defense, B. McKnight does not play defense, if Coach D keeps his word, we wont see him anymore....Did anyone really play any defense in last night's game? It was really a team effort of bad defense. Exactly! If nobody else was playing defense, nor were they shooting well, then why not play him?
