You clearly didn't pay attention to Groce while he was at OU. The man broke a clipboard at the JAR, I believe because the Rowdies were bugging him. As long as it's somewhat controlled and aimed at the right person or people, I don't mind. I actually like it every once in a while, especially during a season like this.

I don't know if French knows how to interview him. Haha. He always seems taken aback by his blunt honesty.

So if we shoot a 3, miss it, and KLac tips it all the way back into the backcourt, that's not over and back? I never realized that. I always thought the team on offense has possession until the defense shows they have controlled possession.

Someone's going to have to explain to me how the team shooting free throws doesn't have "possession", but ok.

Put me down for one who is 100% against any additional financial compensation for main-sport student athletes. We're talking around $120k in minimal compensation for tuition and room & board alone. Let alone the opportunity to travel the US on the school's dollar. If they don't value those things as they should, they sure as Hell won't know the value of additional financial compensation. Half these guys have thousands of dollars on their bodies in the form of tattoos, yet complain about not having additional money for food or something (Shabbazz Napier). Scrap the one & done rule and let them make the jump to either the NBA or a developmental league.

I know Utomi missed one of his big free throws at the end of regulation, but I want to compliment the team on their commitment to free throw shooting. I'm pretty confident anytime we're at the charity stripe. It's a refreshing feeling.

Sorry, I was just thinking, "What if Groce, the coach of AKRON, got the benefit of the doubt during a 6 game losing streak, losing 10 of their last 13 in a very down conference?" Reading the Duquesne board, the Dukes aren't finishing strong, emulative at times of Dambrot's time at Akron. Meanwhile, Akron has become stronger as we've approached the end of the season with a much more depleted roster, and the Dambrot/Duquesne supporters on this board struggle to give Groce any support/positive remarks.

When your vets can't make a shot in the second half if their lives depended on it, all the while making boneheaded mistakes, questions are easily answered. There were a few questionable coaching decisions, but we had our opportunities to make baskets and didn't.
