IF we were to win the MAC tournament, a win here might take us from a '13' to a '12' seed in Spokane. With the lost to EMU, I don't think this will help us much. Last I checked, Bracketology had Central winning the MAC as a 16 seed.

now that the lady zips are winning, maybe we can start getting more people to come out to the games. I've been saying it for the last year, that the program is turning around and that they are going to shock alot of people.My dad wants to start buying season tickets for women's, too. I also agree. I was listening to 850 yesterday and they were talking about OSUcks' scheduling. They mentioned how Pete Carroll at USC became known for playing anyone anywhere. Gonzaga is kind of the same way. I think we need to start playing meaningful schools (not YSU's or St. Francis's) on the road. I've said this all along: to be an NCAA tourney team, you have to schedule like one. We'll get Can't at our place. GO ZIPS!

My thing about Ianello is he is a recruiter more than anything. You can't coach god given talent, but you can recruit which is something we've been missing IMO. He's got a good staff around him to help him out. He's from Notre Dame so he had to learn something there. I'm with Captain and I'm giving him the BOD.

This will be the first time in a few years that I will not be able to go to the game @ Can't, but I'm so glad it's on TV. Akron 74Can't StateCKS 53.13 will be ejected 11 minutes into the game.Can't creamed Buffalo, but listening to the announcers and such, it seemed like Can't did what Buffalo did to us: GOT VERY HOT! Buffalo also seemed very cold and short tempered. Should be a fun game at the MACC.

all i can say is that it took U at canada to play their best game of the year and probably one of our worst games for them to beat us by only 13. Regaurdless the score we had it down to 2 posessions a few times in the late second half. IM sure KD and the boys will be ready for them when the make the trip to THE UofAPlus, I doubt Pierce will go for 31 again and Smiley is that hot again. Let's beat Miami and continue to prove we are one of the best, if not the best, in the MAC.

+1That game ranks up there with the Nevada and Dayton games. Sure the crowd wasn't the largest it could be, but it was into the game! That's how you generate excitement. Nobody cares if you beat Malone or St. Francis. We just proved that we are an improved team from a year ago. We did something that Boston College, an ACC team, couldn't do: we held them under 70. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm proud of this team. They came out and fought hard and just plain old fell short. My high school coach told me that the varsity basketball team lost because shots didn't fall, but they didn't walk off the court saying they got out hustled or out hearted and neither should the Zips. Let's win the MAC and make some noise in the NCAA tourney! Oh, and here's a major bright side:

I blame the guy that put the Penno/Miami celebration image on the big board. He finally took it off before the foul shot after getting so many boos at him. The worst part about that was Cedrick Middleton was at the game tonight. My main issue with this game (besides the refs) was our lineup. We were struggling on the boards and yet Dambrot keeps Chris and Nik out there. Then Zeke gets tossed around like a salad. Where was Bardo or even Swiech?We have to start winning these games. We compete with OSUcks and CSUcks for fans and such, but how do you expect to compete when they are winning tourney games and beating ranked teams and we can't beat an almost ranked team? We're so close though. Our first hurdle when Dambrot first came here was to compete in the MAC again. Our second hurdle was to win the MAC. Now our third hurdle is to get the nation's attention with some wins. I will say this about the MAC part of the season, I think we can go undefeated and go 16-0 in the MAC.

Looking at their schedule and results, they dont look too good. They beat teams by pretty slim margins and get killed by good teams. We should take care of em if we play well, but let's not look past URI.
