if it's lack of support by the AU admin,and athletic dept. then how do we have a b-ball team that wins 20 games every year,and a top 20 soccer team.jd was given a new indoor facilty that was better than most big ten schools have.we are getting a new stadium.the reason we are bad starts with the coaching staff.could the au do some things better for marketing schedules? probably.losing to bad teams like bg,temple,and buffalo has nothing to with that.

i hope the ast psoter is right,and aklron will cj7.i thought the defense /kicking ame played well enough to contend for the mac title this year.the dand kicking game were by no means dominate but gave the zips plenty of chances to win games.if cj7 goes in and plays bad then at least yo have given him a chance.i dont mean just one seriers either.they need to use these last three games to evaluate the underclassman for next year

im all for giving jd the rest of the year,but the fact is we are one of the worst teams in d-1 football right now.teams like buffalo,and temple are findng ways to win.i am so sick of some akron fans making excuses for the coaching staff.we lost to buffalo,and temple not ohio state,and usc. if he does not win next year then we need to find another coach.i still think the kicking game and defense are good enough to win in the mac.the offense coaching is another story.no one hear seems to know what cj7 did be benched.unless changes are made next year i do not see the offense getting better.is there one team in the mac that c11 could start for? maybe rogers is the answer but i doubt if it's cj11.jd can stick with cj11 but we are going now where right now.

you sayd cj7 is a cancer ect.that is your opinion.if jd does not like cj7 then kick him off the team,or play him.to say cj7 did this and is that is your opinion.some of the bext players in the nfl are so called cancers like to and moss.yet they are fine this year.alott of this is coaching.

hip i understand your frustration.don't take it out an kd and the boys.why not go to one of the asst a.d.,and explain the situation.unless you tell the right people nothing will change.not going to the games just hurts the guys we all love.

that's excatly it.we dont know because jd will not say what happened.if the kid was only late for a meeting then benching him for the entire season is ridiculous.jd can have all the discipline he wants ,but losing does not pay the bills.jd proved his point we have discipline... and a 3win -season.we have a discipline football team to bad no one will be at the games to see the discipline.

who knows if we would be better off right now.i do know we probably would be no worse off.like i said jd is going to stick with cj11, and take this team to another losing season.at this point it really does not matter because most zips fans don't care anymore at this point,and are ready for b-ball.this will be shown at the gate the rest of the season.

this is his fourth year.somehow buffalo and temple are finding ways to win with programs that were not very good when there coaches took over.can you honestly say that golden,and gill had more talent than jd did when he took over.our program is in a downward spiral.the good news we can not get much worse than we are now.akron is one of the worst teams in the worst d-1 conferences.as long as jd will not change we are going to at a standstill.

zen what about the loyalty to the zips fans who spend money for season tickets only to have losing season after losing season.you do not have the right to tell each zips fan how the should feel.just because you expect losing year after year does not mean all zips fans have to.

i think the admin will give jd until next year.if we have three losing seasons in a row then he will be gone.

akron is spending 30 million on a new stadium i doubt a few 100k will matter.if the big boosters want him gone then he will be gone.if they want him to stay he will stay.the average akron fan only has leverage when it comes to buying season tickets.the big boosters usually decide a fate a coach.

how bad is this team.i did think the first part of the year this team was playing decent ball,but they have gotten worse.like i said most people do not even care in akron.that's the sad part is apathy will set in for the rest of the season.

all i keep hearing is how he screwed up.you know what it does not matter what jd does cause the season is now over.he proved his point on the way to another losing season.when no one shows up for the rest of the games tell me if jd's discipline really matters to anbody in an empty stadium.

114 and jd is sticking with his man at qb.i hope he is right becuase we cannot afford to lose another mac game.hopefully the bye week will give the defense a chance to heal and rest up while buffalo comes off a game with cuse.im pulling for the zips but i have no faith in the offensive play calling.i think still dont think jaq is the best qb but in all fairness to him the offensive play calling has not helped him either.

CK is 100% correct.if akron wins people wil show up.having a new stadium will help that also.if the team loses eventually you will have an empty new stadium.win and you will fill it for every game.i don't mean one 7-5 season,they need a season where they jump into the top 25 for even one week wouldhelp.

i do not see any teams in the mac team going anywhere.i think some temple,and buffalo fans are jumping the gun.first of all the conference has to want you.buffalo could want to join the big east but it won't happen.i think the mac is a good fit for buffalo and temple.

gp i give you credit.at least you are honest with yourself.ialott of zips fans are living in denial of arkon sports.i would have taken oden.the fact is he is not a dummy.the kid has never been in trouble at all.he was interviewed on sixty min and is very well spoken.its not like osu was taking a criminal.now if the kid had a criminal past that is another story but he does not.if the kid was in music or a computer wiz and left school no one on the zips board would care.the fact is it was osu and most zips fans will find something to complain about because it was osu.they think there is some government conspiracy funded by osu to keep the zips down.

so part of the complex i used by students thats great.but the fact part of it is for varsity sports to.the point i was making is that some zips fans got mad because osu spends money on athletics.osu can spend alott of $ becasue it makes alott of money.akron fans need to quit worring about what osu is doing.life is not fair .never will be.so osu spends a ton of money on athletics.so what.why cry foul about it.

the thing that bothers me is right now we are 3-4 in the probably the weakest the mac has been in a long time.niu gets beat 44-3,and cmu gets beat 70-14 to back up my point.there is not team in the mac that would finish .500 in any bcs conference.im not saying get rid of jd this season,but we are a middle of the pack team in the worst conference in football right now.jd needs to get this program moving forward,and right now we are spinning are wheels.if we lose to buffalo the mac championship run is over,and we be lucky to finish .500.

give me a break.we spent 100 million on a practice facility.how many players has jd recruited that never even made it to akron.im a zips fan but i think some zips fans need to look in the mirror.you do not think akron would have took oden for one year.ck do you even know the guy.from what i have heard he is a pretty humble guy that has not ever been into trouble.you attack the kid for going to the pros and taking millions of dollars.like any body on this board would not leave school for that.give me a break.akron is no different than any other school when it comes athletics.

with temple winning it give the zips new life.with the mac being down the zips need to take advantage of that fact.buffalo is a must game,and i would think we have to win all four conference games.the wasy things are going in the mac you might be able to win it with two losses though?

the problem is we have two different types of qb this year.i would love to see cj7 in some roll out passes,qb bootlegs ect out of the i formation.i just dont think the spread offense is for cj7.if jd keeps cj7 at the qb i think they need to look at what offense they are going to run next year.
