good point kid.i wonder if we can ge to 6-6 would it be good enough for a bowl.the way teams in the mac are going everybody is going to be .500 or worse.

my quesition if miami losses and cmu got drilled.who is the best team in the mac.i really dont think any teamthis year is better then another.the mac is a terrible conference.

temple gets another field goal go owls.zips go to buffalo next week for a crack at first place.the bad news is cmu is getting drilled 63-14 by clemson.i said this before our conference is terrible this year.we will be lucky to have three bowl eligible teams.

i totaly disagree.our lbs and db cannot tackle in open space.how many times did the temple qb drop back,and look for an open running lane.once he got passed the line of scrimage he made our guys look like they were standing still.you would think having more db and lb would help but it does not.at the same time our offense could not stay on the feild long enoug to give our d a rest.chasing a fast qb will wear a defense out soon.i am not sure how much of a the defense being won out was a factor also.

how is out point guard postion looking.? know we can play middleton / dials together but then we have no depth.if the 6-9 kid play then kd could put woods at the four spot.i do not remeber the last time we had a true center that was any good.

GP i agree with your last comments.if we have a losing season this year then jd is on the hot seat.if 2008 is below .500 i don't think he will make it to 2009.i will wait until the season is over.as for the state of the programteams like temple,and buffalo are now compareable to the zips.you cannot tell me that when jd took over those programs were better than us.somehow there coaches are getting it done so jd has no excuses.as for the mac it may be balanced, but the conference is terrible.when the best team in the mac (cmu gets drilled by at home by a i-aa team that says it all.)

i really think that alott of the problem is the play calling.we are not power running team.we have some good wr in owens and j.arthur.why do they continue to try running up the middle and off tackle.in the first half of the temple game we played with an attack mentality by getting the ball to our wr,and running williams outside.jd tried to go to a power runnig game the second half.i still think this offense has the talent to score some points but the play calling is terrible.

the big game to watch in the mac is temple/ miami.the game is at temple and temple is coming off two straight wins.if temple can somehow pull the upset then everybody is back in the race.if miami wins it will be tough but not impossible for the rest of the east.i know buffalo is in first place ,but the zips can take care of them in two weeks.we just need temple to win three in a row.go owls!!!!!!!!

good points but will jd be here when the new stadium open.no matter who the coach is having the new stadium will help with recruiting,and attendance.i still think the new stadium will only help attendace for the first year.if the zips do not put a good product on the feild no one is going to see akron play late in the season in cold weather.especailly in a meaning less game.

i am not sure of his contract situation.at this point there is alott of football to be played and any decision needs to wait until the end of the season.i think no matter what happens this year you give him one more year to turn things around.after five years if he cannot get things done then something needs to change.i do not think most poster are unreasonable.i think we are just sick of one decent season of 7-5 in ten years followed by a bunch of 5-7,4-8 seasons with owens.

everyone is blaming the offense but we did score twenty points.the problem is not the offense but the play calling.they got away from getting the ball to the paymakers j.athur, ownes.the play calling was not to lose the game instead of trying to win it.jd needs to start taking the blame for the conserative play calling, and not put it all on the players.

the problem is we tried to run the clock out,and play not to lose.in the first half the offenese was in attack mode with passes to our wr.so in the fourth qtr we go to a power running game which we are not good at.time after time in college football you see teams try to run the clock out by running,and most of the time it does not work.jd needs to quit playing scared and try to win the game with the offense we used in te first half.

all i know is we get beat by a temple team with a new coach.buffalo now seems to be ahead of us to.we are now behind teams that we use to beat all the time.we are in the fourth year how long do you want to give this guy.there is no reason for this team to finish .500 in one of the worst conferences in football.if jd cannot do at least that then we have real problems.i don't think most fans expect to win every game.to lose to temple though at home is terrible.

the scary part is this team is two plays away from being 1-6.we beat Can't barley ,and wmu on the last play of the game.if Can't had more time they probably would have scored.wmu was gift from wmu coverage team.all the other losses we got beat pretty bad by osu,indi,and u conn.this team is 3-4 right now and not very good.maybe things will change with the week off.they need to regroup and buffalo is now a must win game.

we need to beat buffalo,and hope temple can somehow beat miami next week.you never know.i am sure templeis playing with alott of confidence.asking them to win three mac games in a row may be to much though.if they can then everybodys back in the race.

good for jd to prove a point that he has shown to cj7 that he has disipline.first of all i still have not heard what cj7 actually did.secondly jd is proving his point and taking the team down.there are plenty of ways to show he is in charge without taking down the whole team.what could happen is cj7 leaves and then we are stuck with jaq for three years.jd will not be around either though if this team has two bad seasons.

i would have thought the tribe game hurt attendance.with the loss to temple at home and the cold weather approaching i think our attendance is in trouble.i just wonder what would happen if we do not make the ncaa attendance mark? with the temple loss akron just destroyed any chance this season of building a fan base.

as much as i do not like jac11 as our qb the coaches never gave our offense a chance to win the game at the end.when you play not to lose you lose.i doubt if jd will learn this tlesson hough.

jd is going to live and die with jac.at the same time jd did not give his qb a chance.what is up with three running plays up the middle.this lose falls clearly on jd because he did not give the team a chance to win the game.why not put carlton jackson in to see what he could do since we got nothing in the second half.

good point except for the fact jaq fumbles the ball a few times a game,and takes huge losses with sacks because he holds on to the ball to long.i have seen both players and my opinion (which means nothing like everyone else on this board) cj7 is the better qb.do you honestly think the other mac schools are worried about facing him?the only good point is i think we have two decent qb's that can win games for us.in that respect we are in a better posotion than other mac schools.

i will take win,and think this will be a close game.temple is coming off a win so who knows what to expect from them,and the zips came off a huge emotional win.this one is hard to call.

ja had a touchdown that went for not.on the last drive was there definatley interfernce on the last play and on probably third down also.if you have to depend on the refs call on the last play of the game it won't ahppen.just like they were not going to call pas interference on wmu on the zips last drive.you can't expect the repla officlas to over turn calls most of the time.there are not always enought cmarea angles to overturn calls.it sounds like sour grapes to me.

trimmy not argue the point.they did give up 58 points to cmu.this is the same cmu team who got beat by clemson 70-14,and blown out by a 1-aa team.they may be the best team in the mac but that is not syaing much.
