if he is a redshirt senior then your probably right. to bad he used it up.i don't think the ncaa gives to many of them out anyways.

this was a good win by the zips.great defense,and kicking game.when will jd address the penalties.we were the most penalized team last year.there is no reason for the personal fouls.the last one gave Can't a chance to win the game.if a guy gets a pesonal foul sit him.nothing gets the attention of a player than riding the pine.i also like rotating the rb's.it keeps a fresh rb,and i think it showed in the fourth qtr.i don't think Can't gets all those rushing yards if mackey,and robinson were in the game.

any chance of a medical redshirt.could he even aply to the ncaa for one?i know the naa does not grant alott of them.

the defense was awsome.they saved the game time after time.when are we going quit having stupid penalties.the last out of bounds late hit almost cost us.no excuses for late hits.

i saw where the offical to make sure people should bring plenty of water with them.im not sure about there,but most stadiums won't let you bring them in.what a stupid statement.

ii do agree cj gives us a better chance because he can scramble.we all saw what the indi qb did to us.i think alott of it's the o-line and our lack our running game.i think we have some offensive players in fuqua,williams,jabari,poindexter.i just don'tthink our o- line gives any of them a chance to make plays.until our running games gets better we will struggle.when our running game gets better it will open up the passinggame.

that would hurt losing him for the year.it does not sound good though.i total bs play by and indi lineman to cut him from the backside.

name me one team in the big ten sec acc that plays four home games.there is none,and will never be.if that was the case all teams would schedule all the games away.it's unfair to the players,and coaches to go on the road for all the non conference games.quit playing teams that will not give you a return trip.the new stadium will not be done for at least two years.thats the best case senario.i realize you need $ to run team but if you don't win you will never build a home fan base either.

i do give jd a good job on change of qb.this is not a knock on jake.with the offensive line very young cj give us the best chance.cj arm looked decent also and looked great as a runner.if anyone if to blame is the athletic department. akron needs to stop scheduling games where you chances of winning our not good.beating a big ten team on the road is not easy.i dont want to here about bg beating min.thats one game out of how many this year.if a team is not going to give us a return game then don't schedule them.two road games in a row against big teams is insane.plus we got almost nothing for osu compared to other schools like ysu.i know the games are scheduled years in advance;so start making the zips a decent schedule.i seriously doubt if indiana will make a return trip ,and osu wil never play at a mac venue.

i agree skip zip.i thought nate played a good first three games.it was a cheap shot helmet to his knee from the backside by indi lineman.i wonder if jd will comment on that.also our guys were hit numerous times when they were out of bound.of course the refs did nothing.

gp1 u better be worried about kents qb.i watched them play against kentucky,and he was there offense.kentuck could not stop him.the only reason for the blowout was Can't's defense could not stop kentucky either.

does anyone know if nate is going to be ok.the shot he took was total bs from the hosier lineman.the lineman took his helmt right to his knee for the backside.i hope he is ok because i thoght bi nate was playing alott beter this year.

i cannot falut the effort of the team,and jd does get these guys ready to play.having said that we always get out coached the second half.i would love to more of williams and less of kennedy.i am worried about next week.Can't is going to see what the qb did and the Can't qb will do the same if the zips dont change the scheme.

why blitz the qb on third and long.all it did was open the middle of the field for the recievers and qb to run.how many times on third and long did the denfese give in.jd kept blitzing the lbs and it opened the lane up for the qb to run wild.why did we not have a spy on the qb.we cannot get pressure on the qb so why blitz the same guys all the time.

hopefully the coaches learned from last week.please no more dive play,dive play, screen pass.no one said you have to throw a fifty yard bomb,but a pass across the line of scrimage would be nice.even jd said after the game they needed to take more chances downfield.i hope the denfese can play well like last week,but it would hard to play as good as they did last week.i thought nate robinson played with some fire.he is bigger than almost all of the indiana offensive lineman.he could be force inside when he wants to, and we need it tomorrow.go akron!!!!!!!!

you can be an osu fan,and a zips fan.i had my akron shirt on while watching among osu fans.like the one poster said if akron starts winning those local fans will go to zips games.until we start winning a consistent basis no one inclduing students are going to go to zips games.

as much as i would like to have alott of homes games.we will have to pay for the new stadium.plus all the mac schools fb run in the red.i still think the zips will have to go on the road for at least two paydays maybe three every year.even if you fill the new stadium it cannot bring in the revenue from going to play a top bcs team.i know they have alott of money donated for the new stadium,but the botton line is most non schools lose money.

there were some posters on this board who said none of akron's players could start even for the two deep at osu.i did not see much difference in talent from there defense and akron's.i think we can compete for players with any other mac schools.when we lose kids it's to the big ten schools not mac schools.at the same time im not sure there is much of a talent difference with the top teams in the mac to the bottom teams of the big ten anyways.once we get the new stadium under construction things should get alott better.

pro football is the one sport where i don't have problem with the guys making big money.these guys are out there abusing there bodies.i think very few play pro ball and don't have some kind of medical problems down the road.hopefully the kid will walk again,and i hope for the best.

there is no way the offense is beat up.they were not on the field enough to be tired.the defense though is another matter.it would be hard to put up the performance like they did at osu.the offense needs to get it in gear to keep our defense fresh.hopefully indiana players are not taking this game seriously.there is alott of parity in c.football this year.look at michigan,and nd being 0-2.indiana is no where near as good as ous defensively.

neither qb is to blame.we have no running game,and the play calling was terrible.we have cj why not roll him out and/or do some bootlegs.the two times he faked the dive and ran he at least got some yards.i think cj would do ok as our qb if the staff would call plays to use him right.i do realize this is the best defense we will face all year,but at the same time our play calling was not good either.

ck i agree totally.the defense played about as good as you could expect given the offense gave them nothing.i think the offensive problems are part young offensive line,and part coaching.i know osu has a great defense but no excuse for the play calling yesterday.that will be the best team we play all year. if we can get past next week ,and pull the upset everbody else on are schedule is definately beatable.

the reason i am so negative was the same offensive problems last year are also back.i know we have a youg o-line but the coaches did not to adjust in th 2nd half. our offense playbook had two plays screen pass,and the dive.how about faking the dive and throwing once in a blue moon? we never threw the short passed ove the middle to the te.our offense looked liked the team was trying out for chorus line 1 2 3 kick 1 2 3 kick 1 2 3 kick.that gets old after awhile.the defense was great buut it was a wasted effort.we need to get better fast next week.

zen i totaly agree.our offense had two plays the dive and the flare pass.we never even tried the short passed over the middle.the purpose of the dive is evenaully to fake it and have the qb run.we have two big te and never used them?

that's some great ponints gp.i know mc neal looks to be a decent lb.i do agree if we lose another lb we are going to be in trouble.if robinson comes back why not use some 4-3 defense.this is probably te first time we have had two 300 lbs line man.why not use them.
