i have to agree with most of the posters. the regualr season is almost meaningless.they need to change the mac tourney formatt to at least the top eight.i would like to see four teams .the two division champs and the best two records overall. that will never happen.there never be any changes.the mac makes money on all these tourney games,

i think people have selective memories.how do you think niu felt on that last second pass to hixson. or buffalo in football over the past few years getting pounded.it can always get worse.

kd is a great coach.i only thing where i thought we should have played milmum/mc knight a few more min to give wood,and travis more rest. hopefully with two 6' 9 guys coming in next year we should have alott of front line depth.the ony weakness is see next year is at the pg. we need someone to step up there.

give me a break we won 26 games this year. all the other mac shcools besides miami would trade places with the zips right now.we lose one game and all the fans start complaing.be careful what you wish for. if you don't think kd will get offers from other schools. even though he wants to be here that does mean that other schools wont be offering.

not to make excuses ,but to beat a team three times in row is ridiculous. hopefully we can come back,but to call this season 20 plus wins a failure is crazy.

if we would only have won the nevada game. with 25 plus wins they would have had to put us in the tourney.that's the game we had to have.does anyone think we stillhave an outside chance if we make it to the finals and lose? after what as happened to the mac teams in the past we won't. still 26 wins ,and not go the big dance .after that what's the point of the regualr season then?

big zip i know what you are saying about schedules, but i disagree in this repect. no one will play us home,and home. pitt backed out at the last second.you play teams like duke ect on the road for automatic losses. why should mac schools help the bigger schools out.if they won't return a game then don't schedule them. i do blame the mac as a confernece for never being able to get more than one team in the tourney. it starts at with the mac commish.

it's amazing how we lose one game and everyone is negative. the sky is falling, and we are going to win 20+ games again this year. i think all the mac teams would right now would trade places with akron. we are lucky to get a guy like him who actually wants to here.

whoever moved the amry date did akron a good thing,we have a winnable game to start of the season. then we have some time to the show feeling allot better havng one game under our belts.

does anyone know if the army game is the opening game. i think the big issue is we need a game before ohio state,and if it's the the opener that would work.no way do we want to go into the shoe the opening game with a new qb,and ol.

the capt is right on the money.the zips just need to win ,and don't worry about the teams.you start looking past teams as inferior to you is when you lose to those teams.hopefully kd won't let that happen.

coming off the win against Can't ill take the win.if buffalo had anyone who could hit even a few three pointers look out.we got killed on the boards,but hard to stop both of there big guys. i hope we do not see them in the mac tourney.

that o-line is the main reason i wish akron would of had a home opener before the osu game.i think our defnese will be ok against the buckeyes.with a new o-line and qb the defense is going to be on the field alott.at the same time i wonder how much worse the o-line can be after last year.how many games did we have were we could not rush for even 100 yards as a team.

i think our defense will be fine especially ;since alott of there guys on offense are leaving early. i have no idea how our offense is going to score points breaking in a new qb,and o-line though.plus we need to find a kicker.

good points but most revenue comes from tv deals not attendace.not that it won't help,but the mac needs to figure out a way to get more cash from tv.i still would like to know what we get from espnu because ;i just don't see how being on espnu helps much.

i just read on the mac discussion board where no mac school made money in football.akron only lost 2.8 million on football on 2004-2005. so i definately think we need to give all the coaches in the mac big pay raises.

kd is ten times the coaches jd is. kd is building a program for the long haul here at akron.the b-ball teams beats up lesser opponents. the football team struggles most of the time not matter who we play.we won a mac championship in football with just over 500.00 win %. you'll never see that in mac basketball.the big thing for me kd wants to be here.jd is gone the first time he gets a better offer.

what is a sad commentary is the state of college athletics /not mac atheltics.so the mac school's are just supposed to go into debt, and pay the coaches 40 million dollars like saban.i think the mac does a good job of balances athletics, and putting athletics in perspective.

nice win. should not have came to even be that close. maybe im nit picking now.the only thing i see about this team that i don't like.at times dials and middleton seem to throw up three's without even giving our guys like romeo,and woods a chance to go inside. the second half we did alott better job going inside, and it paid off. i know this team has three point shooters ,but they need to let it come in the flow of the game.

a good point about having 6-7 guys who can actually play, and jump like milmum.it would be nice to have a 6-10 big man.the reality is most d-1 school don't have one,and if they do they are usually just taking up space.that's ben the one weakness most mac schools have.if kd is able to get one big guy who is decent the rest of mac is in trouble.

not to make excuses because of injury. not to have j.wood in the uic game hurt us big time. if wood plays we probabaly win the game.

great post.i don't think people realize how kd is building something long term. i hope we have a great year,but i think he keeps added more pieces like conyers,and mc knight.i just don't see much of a drop off for next year if any.the 6-9 kid from pa,and bardo next next year should give is plenty of front court help. we just need to find another pg to replace dru.unlike the football team the zips do beat most of the teams they are supposed to beat,and we are in every game.were ten points away from being 10-0.

as faust use to say "we are working hard, and getting better every day." so you would think by now we should be national champs.

i agree it's time to get out of the conference. if we don't our b-ball program will go nowhere. what's worse is kd will be gone if we don't do something.
