  1. I think that the stadium will be mostly wrapped up in a few weeks. Structurally, the project is probably 99% complete. But there are still some aesthetic touches that need to be complete, including facade and landscaping.Perhaps you can check back in a week or two when some better pics could be available.
  2. Nice research you tool, we will have already broken it in against Morgan State on the 12th.
  3. Zipseuph, great pic, altho I must say the Lion looks bored . . . Be careful if he awakes!!!Zippy_UA, thanks for trying to educate your brethren about the diff btwn Penn State and Penn. They will come to know, and "rue", that difference on 5 Sep, which is ONLY 26 DAYS AWAY!!!rue the roo
  4. Oh, that's easy!Just put up some electric generating wind-mills nearby and promise to use the energy to lower student tuition. The wind will never blow again.Wrong, you can't stop the wind completely in a wind turbine, only slow it down....the air has to go somewhere after it goes through the turbine. I think they should put a computer room in the scoreboard that is linked only to ZNO. The fans in that room, frustrated with the scoreboard design would give off enough heat to increase the internal pressure, causing the exterior to bow outward and fixing the problem!lol, I think you missed my humor (or attempt at it).... sortof like a variation on muphy's law. My contention was that if they put up windmills that would lower tuition, the wind would avoid the area in order to screw the students. This would have the benefit of not blowing on the back of the scoreboard.Of course, with my metaphysical logic, I'm sure the wind would aim past the windmills and still target the scoreboard anyway.Okay, i quit now. Let's get back to some serious complaining.
  5. When I was there I talked to people who were co-oping for ford, and some who knew grads who went to work for the automakers. I heard the same story that I suspect is very true now. The engineers at those places have to answer to the bureaucrats and the bean counters. Our guys want to make something right, and they want to make something cheap.
  6. ajax... it doesn't use inline html form data. This can be done, but I don't have time. I'm going out soon. You'll need to make an dynamic file which some random data for the unique variables in the script script, and we will have to mock a cookie as well. Not worth the time. This is a better written poll

  8. You forgot:Posts complaining about other fans complaining: 1,347.673LOL you just trumped Capn I <3 this board most of the time.Just remember it's all for fun.

  10. I don't have a problem with OU.But if in-fact our program does increase it's success levels in the future, you might as well get used to a certain level of envy and contempt from your rivals. It just comes with the package along with respect and prestige.
  11. seriously though, I quit after the results were published. No reason to keep it going now when no one is looking. In fact, if you try to push it too far up the 40, it is going to go beyond looking fishy and we will get discarded all together. There's a time to just let it rideNice effort, though. Save your enthusiasm up for the next poll
  12. If that is going to happen, it definitely hasn't yet. I'm all for optimism, and you most definitely gotta like your chances when your investment and your climate is ripe.... but.... I can only hope for the day that we can actually say we left the rest of the MAC in the dust
  13. I wasted 10 minutes reading that thread...Did you think it was funny?I thought it was stark to me how mildly sullen and anti-climactic they were. They couldn't even get a real anti-Akron mojo going. The best they could muster was some flutter over "stupid marsupial"Others broke ranks and admitted that the writing was on the wall with how we have invested in improvements. In a way, it was somewhat heartening.
  14. I guess practice has started
  15. The reason we can move up is because no one else is voting anymore...I don't think it's worth messing with....
  16. I'll start my voting back up at 5pm
  17. ???
  18. I agree. It looks like it is up there half-hazardly also. Like it can be changed at any time. It doesn't sit very flush. The front looks just fine to me... though I'd like to see the video in action. It seems that the material on the back is probably not behaving as they predicted.I'll be that if they retrofit the ability to do one or both of the following to that, it would appear much better1) decrease the depression of the material into the gaps by increasing the matrix of backing support (or a flat surface all together)2) add the ability to stretch the material more pervasively from the edgesbut somehow I wonder if the material plan is somewhat temporary.I thought I saw a rendering of the backside with a video board that could run notices and ads.
  19. I don't like that spot for an arena.I think it does have the merit of being next to the stadium... and you often see such big and little brother pairings of stadiums and arenas.... but I really loved the plans I saw of greek village. Greek village would have added an very distinct campus residence sense of character far beyond the clustering of dormitories that you see in most campi. An arena there would necessitate using space up to at least vine street, nearly chopping Greek Village in half.I would be all for it if we had no other available real estate.
  20. Wow, awesome. I'm trying the same thing and it appears to be working. Thanks for giving me another reason to love firefox.Edit: Also, to all Firefox users...https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ad...?confirmed=trueIf you have it set up like zen and I, this makes it easier. It takes the work out of it.Does that work for you?I could see the refresh working by itself if it wasn't for the fact that mozilla prompts you each time if you want to resend form info each time...[edit] LOL, genius. The first time it goes to automatically reload the page, it informs you that it was sent with form data and asks you if you want to resend.brilliantI'm setting my work computer to do this every 10s.I'll let it run overnight
  21. I have my firefox set to prompt me for cookies... and I am fairly sure I had set it to perminently block ESPN cookies. So, I can just submit my vote once, and continuously refresh the page (hitting enter to accept the form data re-submit)
  22. OH NOEZ! I WANT MY MONIEZ BAK!
