  1. @catdaddyp, any ideas as to why our 3 stud HS OL we signed this year were still on the table during the late signing period? I figured they'd be hot commodities who would have most likely been signed in the early period.
  2. Initial post updated w/ Thompson and Price.
  3. Ali has heard from a lot of P-6 schools. Though Idk if that means they've offered. You'll just have to trust me that this is not sour grapes, but, as I posted a week ago, I think he's going to regret leaving. At Akron he's got a comfortable, familiar culture, great team chemistry, mastery of our offensive and defensive schemes, knows his role, has a spot in the starting 5, gets an abundance of PT, and has been granted an exceptionally long leash by the coaching staff. Good luck finding that wherever the next stop may be.
  4. 💯 I don't like it when good players leave. I want to see high level ball at the JAR. Having said that, after teams figured out how to guard Sears the guy stunk up the gym.
  5. @Akron1, I didn't hear about it till after the fact on twitter 😕
  6. This is something new; a promotion for baseball.
  7. Yeah, let’s keep track of potential transfers here. I’ve been checking Verbal Commits dot com on a daily basis & as far as their info is accurate we’ve only extended one offer to a JUCO, that being 2G Jacob Tracey.
  8. Well that's a relief. 274 and holding. 🤞
  9. Wow. We just lost to Malone.
  10. Awesome! No, no tickets required.
  11. Another fantastic article. Some extremely encouraging & endearing quotes from both Bubba and DJ. Definitely give it a click! Go Zips!!
  12. Dayton beat Louisville? 👀
  13. I certainly didn't want to Like your post, but then neither could I decide between the Laugh or Cry emoji. I think I'll go with Cry.
  14. Kiwan Murphy looks awesome. Is there any way a true freshman could start on the DL? That'd be pretty remarkable. What are the physical prototypes looked for in D-linemen when running a 3-4 scheme? I'm more used to the 4-3, where you typically have 2 beefy DT's and 2 leaner, more athletic DE's. With 3 DL's, are there two typical DT's and 1 typical DE who switches sides depending on the offensive alignment? (I'm going to ask a similar question when we get to the 4 linebackers.)
  15. I predict we'll probably redshirt Kellom, leaving us with four young, legit D-1 caliber backs in Norrils, Williams, Wiley, and Price. I'll take a stab at the depth chart: 1. Norrils (So.) 2. Price (R-So.?) 3. Williams (R-So.) 4. Wiley (R-So.) Caveat: Blake Hester was a very serviceable replacement after our RB crew was decimated last season. It'll be interesting to see if he's put on some weight during the offseason. I can't see him being our #1, but with his hard, one-cut-and-go, north-south running I could see him taking the place of Williams (whom I thought was pretty underwhelming) and/or Wiley (who's awfully light for a 6-2 back). And I know zilch about Dae'Vontay Latimer.
  16. Hope he doesn’t keep shrinking 🙏
  17. 6-0, 210. Nice sized back! Hope he’s got some wheels.
  18. @catdaddyp Thank you for another outstanding analysis. I'll admit that TE is a position I usually find easy to overlook.
  19. I'm taking that as an April Fool's joke. We're lucky... LUCKY... LUCKY to have such a popular mascot. Don't mess with Zippy.
