  1. Indeed. And the MAC is a grind and the MAC Tournament is a grinder. So we don't get too cocky, it's good to remember that, in the MAC Tourney, we beat Buffalo after a Bulls last-second, potentially game-winning shot was a near-miss, and we beat Toledo by 8, while UT didn't help themselves, going 10-of-22 at the free throw line. Having said that, our D was national-level elite -v- KSUcks & UCLA, not letting KSUcks get into any comfortable offensive flow, while also keeping high powered Blue Blood UCLA discombobulated for most of the game. (If the refs didn't cheap-foul Enrique out of that game we beat UCLA.) Add to that young, sophomore-heavy roster the offensive fire power we're bringing in next year with our redshirted freshmen (and the fact they got to witness first hand how good we can be when we sell out on the defensive end of the floor) and I'd like to see us crack the Top 25 next regular season.
  2. @catdaddyp, great post and glad you're here! Go Zips!
  3. Neither do I, and I’ve been checking on a daily basis. Looks like everyone is staying. Jacob Tracey’s offer must’ve been provisional on someone wishing to transfer out.
  4. Michael Lewis is the new basketball coach at Ball Sweat. On my phone, can’t post link.
  5. We may have just gotten another verbal commitment.
  6. Would you consider Basile a "stretch-4", 'Meister?
  7. I think we need a JUCO small forward in the 6'6"-6'8" range. We've got Wynn at 6'6" and Ali at 6'8", but other than that we're either guards or true post players.
  8. Having said that, it looks like someone is transferring out if we're offering JUCO's. Jacob Tracey's offer wasn't listed yesterday.
  9. You're right. I jumped the gun. I'm going to delete my post. Thank you.
  10. I don’t think CSU will schedule us anymore. Wussies.
  11. We’ve got Groce and JoeMo. I really like Guthrie but if he leaves I trust Dr. Miller to find a likeminded replacement. Dr. Miller understands the importance of athletics as - like it or not - the most prominent face of a university.
  12. Yeah. We knew someone would have to decide to/be encouraged to transfer out, but most of us were speculating it'd be Wynn.
  13. Both Kobe and Nate have great builds and certainly pass the eyeball test. Nate is built like a bull.
  14. @Illini Zip simply posted that so we'd get a better idea of what may be waiting in the wings next year. I think the redshirt season was probably very good for Kobe, because, while he lit it up in HS, his competition was rather low caliber. A year under Groce to understand what D-1 defensive intensity looks like and understand the scheme and I think Kobe will really be able to help us next year. He may be the best 3-point shooter on the team next year. He also played football in HS, so hopefully he's got some hard-nose to him (even though he was a QB; Idk if he played D or not).
  15. Yes. Someone else would need to transfer out if we want to add a transfer.
  16. Apparently exit interviews have commenced. Lol 1. Wasn't Bryan a senior? 2. It's good to see he's earned his diploma.
  17. There would be a few more games per year under the 21st C. model.
  18. I think the idea is to make college more like the developmental academies so that players don’t feel their training is getting short-changed by deciding to go to college. @Let'sGoZips94 do you have Twitter? Click the above-posted tweet if you do. It will take you to the 21st Century Midel Twitter page where you’ll find lots of good info.
  19. Correct. A two-semester season, taking a 3-month hiatus during winter.
  20. That's going back to before my time. I wish I had been a Zips fan during the Huggins years, but I was too young and my dad never followed basketball. I also wish I could have seen Jacubick play; he's mentioned so often on the board.
  21. They just said that “UCLA getting past Akron was NOT easy.”
