Now that I think about it I'm surprised the game doesn't tip off at 8:00 (EST). A standard 7:00 tip off for us is going to be a 6:00 tip for NIU (Central).
I'm hoping to see good ball movement and off-the-ball movement, i.e., offensive flow. The fewer Ali Ali dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble specials the better.
"There is a direct correlation between the number of ball reversals and defensive breakdowns." -Kevin Eastman
The last few games we don't seem to have been as reliant on Trimble's 3-point shooting as we were earlier in the season. That's a good team adjustment. Good job, Groce & Co. It'd be great if we could get to a point where we could just consider Trimble's shooting icing on the cake. We can beat NIU w/o Trimble catching fire.
Hoping for more solid minutes from Wynn & Clarke. (No sloppy passes from Clarke.)
The construction (along with COVID) has run a handful of places out of business. It had better be absolutely magnificent when they’re finally finished.
Exchange Street from Main Street to Route 8 is on deck. It will be a needed improvement tying UA & downtown, but I’m sure it’s going to be a nightmare for a couple years.
Glad to hear this. This likely means they flew to Miami as well.
I was having a nightmare about them bussing to Miami then bussing home. Then bussing to Dekalb and then bussing home. And then having to muster energy/legs for KSUcks on Friday.
I hope this is true and until shown otherwise this is what I'm going to believe.
I like what I saw of Kalle. He's very offensive-minded. You don't often see that from freshmen bigs.
With Kalle redshirting we're getting quite the infusion of long-term talent next year in:
1. Kalle - 6'10" offensive-minded big
2. Kobe - one of Ohio's all-time leading scorers
3. Nate - a 3-star shooting guard
4. Prather - a 3-star shooting guard
5. Tavari - a PG whom was highly coveted amongst mid-majors
Like ZipWatcher used to say, "The future is 😎"
I believe it’s a play on the above sentiment, plus wasn’t there a Miami player back in the Romeo/Dru/Wood era that sweated profusely during games & would have butt crack sweat showing through his shorts?
Brian Walsh, Quincy Diggs, Chauncey Gilliam. You guys are jogging my memory. My post was actually meant as a KD apologetic, so, yeah, no excuses. Glad we have Groce.
In looking at the above seedings (bound to change), I also like the #3 seed. We'd get an additional easier game. I suppose I'd rather have tourney run of
Round 1: Ball State
Round 2: Toledo
Round 3: Ohio
than
Round 1: Buffalo
Round 2: Ohio
Round 3: Toledo
That second option is absolutely brutal.
