KD's already an Akron legend, but he'll cement his legacy when he's AD & gets the downtown arena built. 💪💪

Even though it wouldn't benefit our attendance figures this year, I like it when they schedule the KSUcks game earlier in the season before the weather gets nasty. I have the same sentiments with Buffalo & Ohio, but if we play Ohio last game of the year that's a good traditional last regular season rivalry game.

Oh, and also remember that the listed MAC games aren't necessarily in chronological order. They've only released the teams we'll play and whether the game will be home or away. If the BUGS game does happen to line up as falling on the Saturday after our 3-week road trip, that'd be an ideal Homecoming game.

Why would many have that Friday off? Labor Day is the following Monday, right?

Hopefully that's a typo. Thursday night season opener better be on ESPN or ESPN2 if it really is on a Thursday.

IIRC, I believe in years past we’ve started a new thread for Signing Day.

We said the same about Tribble guarding Insincere Carry & were left disappointed in the coaches’ seeming lack of defensive game plan and/or in-game adjustments. Still a little salty at Groce & Co. over that.

A few ppl on here have been calling the Liberty game a payday game. Someone posted we’re getting 1 million from them. IIRC. Idk if that’s accurate.

We absolutely cannot afford one of our patent slow starts. If we don't come out hitting on all cylinders Toledo's gonna run away with this thing early. We don't have a prayer if we get an ice-cold Trimble. If Trimble comes out cold against UT, should we consider bringing him off the bench? Start Dawson?

I remember seeing Lee surprisingly reveal our new colors/helmet on a preseason coach's show with Joe Dunn. I was so pissed!!! Lol I remember Lee saying something along the lines of they wanted to brighten the uniforms up and that they looked a lot the Green Bay Packers uniforms. 🤢🤮😭😭 Nothing against the Packers, but the traditional old gold & navy blue is beautiful and as classy as classy can be. The yellow was so ugly.

I haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully they do. To me it's like being a kid on Christmas morning.

Great post. I'll give one rebuttal. I think D.J. Irons could be a great QB in a read option system. Arth only used DJ to run QB draw plays, but I think most of DJ's yardage on the ground came from running for his life when passing plays broke down. Who knows, but I think he could really keep the D on it's toes in a read option system. You mentioned OL transfer Bane. I had forgotten about him. Yeah, so I guess I'd like to see one more OL transfer. Tough assignment to contribute in the trenches as a true freshman.
