  1. Good stuff, @Let'sGoZips94. This will be a better way to keep track of Luke Brown, @Blackford. Otherwise, all the information you took the time to compile would eventually get buried & lost in the more generic 2021 Recruiting thread.
  2. I thought I saw him slightly tweak his knee, versus WMU I think. Maybe UMass.
  3. I forget where I heard/read this (Joe Dunn?), but word on the street was he applied for both the KSUcks job and the Akron gig and got neither. He needed at least a little experience at a higher level. Idk. I was pulling for him to get the Akron gig. (Not that I'm bitter about it; I'm an Arth fan now.) Go Zips.
  4. Postgame press conference
  5. Whittington's a load. Must be a solid dude, as well. I saw him at a Zips game last month. He was sitting in the lower bowl & stayed for almost the entire game. He left maybe 5 minutes early but the Zips had a big lead. As he was leaving he was giving some handshakes and a couple hugs to Zips fans - it looked like they all knew each other. Idk.
  6. I thought the haunted hotel was in Kalamazoo. Is it in Dekalb?
  7. My dad used to take me to see professional wrestling at the Civic Center. Saw the Road Warriors and Macho Man there. Great times. One night we stayed late & were able to talk to Jake the Snake & Ted Dibiase (sp?) after almost everyone else had gone home.
  8. IMHO they haven’t really been quite the same since they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory versus Cleveland State. Maybe this BUGS win will help them right the ship.
  9. We need a burner/deep threat WR to replace Dustin Burkhart. Someone who will make the DB’s line up a 1/2-step back. Dre fits the bill.
  10. Awesome! Thanks a lot, @Blackford ?
  11. I apologize. We did know about Luke Brown. His offer is listed on VerbalCommits dot com. I'm busy right now but a bit latter I'll try to find and post some highlights. Thanks again & welcome to ZipsNation! Go Zips!
  12. Hadn’t caught wind of that offer yet. Thanks for the tip!
  13. Is this rhetorical? Id be hard pressed to say it’s enhanced his prospects - to say the least.
  14. ABJ: Zips looking to clean up defensive flaws against Ball State
  15. Focusing not on RayQuawndis Mitchell (what a name, btw!), but on the picture below. If we we're going to remove the track I though the JAR would look a lot like South Dakota State's arena. Anyway, before I die, I pray to see a new downtown arena. Not merely a re-designed JAR.
  16. If you remember, KD's teams would traditionally run like a buzzsaw through the first half of the MAC season but then begin to stumble & rarely felt like they had momentum going into the tourney. It'll be interesting to see if Groce can keep the team's momentum cranking & peak at the right time. I also appreciate, more than mere words can express, how Groce doesn't pull hot shooters from the game. ?
  17. What were they before?
  18. How’d you know? Fine, I’d give my middle nut then. Better? ?
  19. No offense taken! I just can’t believe how fast time flies. You’re ??
  20. Unless you're a Duke, North Carolina or Kansas, and are consistently landing McDonald's High School All-Americans, the formula for winning is "Get Old; Stay Old." Groce is doing a masterful job of that. Our main contributors are all seniors - Cheese, Banks & X with LCJ still having another year. Our underclassmen are talented but can take a year or two to ease their way into D-1 ball & let the game slow down for them. Tribble, Ali & Dawson (Dawson's a grown-ass man) all look good and are all getting valuable minutes this year without having a lot of pressure on them (Tribble and Ali are playing truly meaningful minutes). Next year we're adding Trimble (Jr.) and Dailey (Sr.) and ready-to-contribute sophomore big Taylor Currie so, so our current frosh still won't have all the pressure on them. Future of the program's looking good. Groce has us rolling. Next season: PG: LCJ Tribble (Garvin redshirt) W: Trimble Dawson W: Dailey Ali Edwards P: Reese Sayles P: Currie To fill out a championship-caliber roster I'm still thinking we need a ready-to-contribute JUCO post player for next season.
  21. This team's chemistry is outstanding. Passing, moving without the ball, understanding each other's strengths, getting them the ball in position, players understanding the pecking order, talented freshmen who are currently comfortable carrying the upperclassmen's luggage, so to speak, no egos concerning who's in the starting lineup, bench cheering for each other. I could go on. It's obvious they like each other and are having fun. Of course, things are going well right now. We'll probably hit a rough patch sometime this season & we'll see how they respond.
