We got our QB for this class 6-1, 173 lbs. QB

ABJ: Zips don't put much stock in being picked to finish fourth in MAC East

ABJ on Deearius Reese & Kyrie Williams committing to UA.

I hope Kato makes a nice leap this year. Tbh, I don't have a ton of confidence in him. I hope he proves me wrong! (I had more confidence in Woody as our best QB when he was still a sophomore & not getting any PT. Used to frustrate me. Unfortunately, I don't get the same vibe with Kato. Again, I hope I'm wrong.)

Mount Union pole vaulter Matt Keim transfers to Akron

ABJ: Coaches & managers named for esports teams pretty sweet jerseys btw

Here's an article by Michael Beaven on Walter walking-on to UA: UA Men's basketball: STV/M graduate Scott Walter accepts preferred walk-on spot I didn't realize he had such an outstanding prep football career. He'll make a great practice player. It'll be good for the program for him to be a part of it.

At the end of the clip Newman Williams squats 700 pounds.

I don't know if this article on WR transfer Jonah Morris should go in this thread... ABJ: Hoban graduate Jonah Morris transfers from Indiana to UA; former Knights star ready to play WR for Zips The article says they still don't know whether he'll be granted a hardship waiver so he can play this year. States that coming out of HS he held scholarship offers from Indiana, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Kent State, BUGS, Miami-O, & UA.

I’ve had my fingers crossed for Deearius Reese for a year now. He’s a good one.

DANG. This guy's a true frosh who hasn't played a down yet (Keyondre White, RB, 5-10, 210). Gotta be a position record, right? Can't imagine a true frosh RB setting a team record.

^^On my phone, but it may be Max Wynn, a 6-2, 210 3-star LB from Centerville. Max has offers from, among others, Ohio, Toledo, Syracuse & Cincinnati.

Hmm... Must be LB?...

Currently holds offers from 16 schools

I updated the first post in this thread with a list of the players from whom we presently have verbals. I count eight current verbals from soon-to-be high school seniors. Additionally, we also have three non-qualifiers from last year's class who will count toward the 2019 class. So as of 6/22/18 we have 11 players for the 2019 class. And, yes, it's 8:50 on a Friday night and this is what I'm doing.

We apparently just landed a LB from Cincinnati. But I haven't figured out who yet.

In watching his highlight film I agree. I don't like his explosiveness (or lack thereof) off the ball. I do like how he can bend at the knees and hips - how low he gets his butt to the ground while in stance. I have a feeling the Zips' strength & conditioning staff's priority will be to get him down to around 305.
