  1. I saw that. I don't think we offered him, did we? I'd been following him all year waiting (hoping, wondering) for us to offer him and we never did.
  2. Zips fans Joe Akron
  3. Perfect example. YSU was going for blood & playing us was their NCAA tourney game... while we laid an egg. If YSU beat us, any team in the MAC can beat us. Stay humble & stay hungry, Zips!
  4. Are you allowed to do that?
  5. The Boston Celtics are putting a GE (General Electric) logo on their uniform. In a few years I'm afraid American basketball, baseball & football jerseys are going to look more like euro soccer or NASCAR.
  6. Agreed. Maybe we're just in a mini-slump, but I used to laugh at how much prettier our cheerleaders were than Kant's, but now it's a coin toss.
  7. No way to know one way or the other, but I wonder... A-PB is lame to the degree that, I wonder if UA was working to get YSU to just bite the bullet & come play us w/o expecting a return trip and YSU refused, making UA a little desperate to simply get the date filled?
  8. Ball State excites me as much as . (Miami does the same. I used to hate Miami but anymore they just make me ) But the rest of the home slate is great. With ISU, Ohio, Kant & Buffalo, all at home, attendance should be pretty decent (I know, I know... define "decent,"). And I mentioned this before, but Toledo should be on the schedule every year; natural geographic/demographic rivalry there.
  9. I'm still crossing my fingers for UGIII's brother Florida DT Uriah Gilbert. Uriah doesn't tweet often & has mentioned nothing on social media concerning his recruiting. Earlier in the year he was offered by Baylor, so he's legit. And this is the 2nd consecutive year he's been named 1st Team All State in Florida's 4A division. Uriah Gilbert (DL) made first-team All-State in Class 4A and became the 30th TC player to make it to the first team since the school began playing a full varsity schedule in 2002. The Celtics' total is best ever in terms of first-team selections, two better than Dunnellon. Gilbert was the only county player to repeat as a first-team selection and is the first Trinity Catholic player to earn consecutive first-team selections since 2009 when Kadron Boone and Frankie Velez were picked.
  10. Rubin only tweeted about his ISU visit.
  11. FIFY And the Yedlin & Murphy idea... Yaaaaaaaaassssss!!!
  12. To lose in the MAC we'd have to lay an egg & the other team would have to get hot... but it'll happen. We've got a number of difficult road games in front of us & every team in the MAC gets amped to play us. It used to be just Kant. Then Kant & Ohio. Then Kant, Ohio & Buffalo. Now it's every team in the league.
  13. Wonder if #3 is his cousin, Joe Corner?
  14. Great call! I should have known that! Dude is straight ripped! We're gonna be stacked in the D backfield.
  15. Great stat! That really highlights the parity in the MAC.
  16. Top-left picture, from left-to-right, regardless of row: Dusty Burkhart DeAndre Brimage Marcus Kidd Marquise Callaway Jemarulin Suggs Alex Ramart Malik Woodridge Tracy Jordan Zuriel Sanders (most likely a PWO) Kobe Booker Justin Sampson Jonah Wieland (not yet committed) #3 #5 Anyone know who #3 & #5 are? (I've got the day off. Lol) P.s. #5 doesn't look like Marquise Bridges. Plus, Marquise had a basketball game that evening so he probably didn't visit last Saturday.
  17. This is how I felt while I was watching the game. I felt like we were just ho-humming it through the 2nd half. Why do we do that? Why don't we try to beat them by 40?
  18. Beacon: Hot-shooting Zips win 10th in a row; remain unbeaten in MAC
  19. Minnesota is now also after CB Jeffrey Lubin. So add them into the mix with Iowa State for our competition.
  20. I'm not sure I could disagree with that any more than I do. We were walking through the park last night. Did any of our players even actually break a sweat?
