You guys are more observant than I, but I think the Akron font is being used on the jersey. I see a generic font on the UnderArmor t-shirt. but isn't that the Akron font on the jersey? I'm not sure about the numbers.

Wow, that's too bad. He's way too young for that; he's going to have pain the rest of his life. And I was looking forward to seeing he and Big Dog go at it on the court. Best of luck to him. Life is fortunately a whole lot more than basketball.

@ Staton14 - I saw the picture on Facebook. @ akzipper - Right, it looks just like that ^^^. Only with a "Z" on the side & a dark blue metallic face mask.

^^ Well that didn't work. I tried to post a picture of the new helmets. They're chrome-gold w/ a larger Z logo on the side. No white; all gold & navy blue (or black; I can't tell by the picture). Has anyone heard whether Pittman will be DT or DE? Lavonne Gauthney won't be with the team till the fall, but he'll almost certainly be on the 2-deep @ DT. If Pittman is DT, then we've got 4-deep @ DT: Grice, Hollis, Pittman, Gauthney.

I agree concerning this year's St.V/M team. I watched the Ohio D-2 state championship game and was very underwhelmed by the athleticism displayed by both teams. There's no way St.V/M should have lost to Columbus Bishop Waterson. Though they did last year too. It seems that he was pretty adamant about Jarel Woolridge running the point, which is Josh William's best position. Maybe next year Josh will show more when he runs the point full time? Not that Joshua had a bad year. In fact, in the state semi-final game, Josh had St.V's 1st 3 points & 2 assists, but then got into a bit of foul trouble & didn't play much in the 2nd quarter, when Waterson pulled away to a big lead.
