  1. Um, yeaaaah... so, if you could go ahead and get all of our players compliant before the season begins... yeaaah, that'd be great.
  2. George Thomas courtesy of the ABJ. In the article Coach Bowden states he is/was expecting the QB to contribute to the running game. This runs contrary to his previously stated ideal of not having the QB run, no? Also, GT gives an intriguing suggestion: in goal line situations, put Cody Grice @ RB. Cody was an RB in high school. It could be our own version of The Refrigerator (I'm dating myself).
  3. Thanks for the update. I'm fine with that. The lot across from Canal Park is crying out for development.
  4. it concerns me that Coach Bowden says that BG "overpowered" us. Link. We're not going to get much bigger than DT's Caponi (SR 6-3, 278), Grice (SO 6-1, 283), Hollis (JR 6-1, 295) & McCray (SR 6-2, 318) or DE's James (SR 6-3, 250), Capi (SR 6-3, 249) & Presley (SR 6-2, 223). Looking at all of those Seniors, if our DL is getting "overpowered" this year...? Uh, oh.
  5. In recent year's past we would have won 3-0. So the win is great but the lack of being able to finish still has me concerned.
  6. Very discouraging loss.
  7. Agreed. If you can't run it in on two tries from the 1, then the other team deserves to win.
  8. South Carolina beats UCF by 3. 28-25.
  9. You guys are lame if you are underwhelmed by a 6'10" 300-pounder bringing down a backboard. Talk about hard to please. What were you expecting, a 1st-ballot Hall-of-Famer Shaq dunk?
  10. Of course not undefeated, but who do we play every year whom we do not dominate? Who would our neck-and-neck rival be? We don't have anyone on our annual schedule who consistently beats us.
  11. If this is our standard, then we can't have a rivalry with anyone, as we dominate everyone.
  12. Someone had to be recording that, right?
  13. The video feed is not working. I enjoy our annual drubbing of Columbus & I've been looking forward to watching this match (online) since the schedule was released.
  14. Nico Caponi is not listed on this week's 2-deep Depth Chart. Someone mentioned he got hurt last week, but I've neither heard nor read anything about it since. [edit] Hmm. Surprisingly, CJ Mizell is still not listed on the 2-deep.
  15. Wow, what a run! I'm looking forward to a great game.
  16. I'd be ready to run through a wall!
  17. Yeah, gotta give a lot of credit to Michigan there. They really did blow that play up.
  18. So what happened to Nico Caponi. He got hurt? How severely? While watching the game, I did notice that Austin Bailey was playing some D, but I didn't noticed that it was Nico that he was replacing.
  19. ^^^The emergence of Jamel Turner is something else that was beautiful to see last Saturday that hadn't been mentioned yet. Watch Justin March's 1st interception near the end of the 1st half & watch how JT absolutely destroys Michigan's tight end. The poor guys could hardly get off the field after the play.
  20. The above post was in the context of why Bowden didn't go for the first down and instead opted to try the field goal toward the end of the first half. I had the same thought as posted above. I actually saw Bowden's decision to go for 3 as a sign of confidence. He saw that we didn't have to gamble & run trick plays to stay in this game. We just had to play our game & go toe-to-toe with them.
  21. I see this is already being discussed in "The Michigan Game Thread."
  22. Thanks, Doctor. Good work. It's a little bit hard to tell on the above gif, but watching the game on tv, it sure looked like D'Orazio was held on the final play. After watching the replay (DVR) a handful of times, it really looks like KP was throwing the ball to a space in the back of the end zone, where D'Orazio should have been, were he not held @ the line. Also, you can clearly see D'Orazio complaining to the official following the play. Idk, it's Michigan's house & they paid us $1 million to show up & play. I don't think we could/should expect to get that call. But still...
  23. I've felt this way before. I remember when we gave Virginia Tech all they could handle in, what, 1995-ish. I thought, "Wow, we shouldn't lose another game the rest of the season." That didn't work out so well. We gave Tennessee all they wanted last year, only to have another 1-11 season. I see the UA marketing department already advertising tickets to the Louisiana game featuring the 28-24 final score with the tagline "Rising." Playing Michigan the week after they had just faced Notre Dame was fortunate for us. I'm sure they couldn't help but to have been a little drained the week following that game. I hope our fellas understand clearly that if we don't play this week as well as we played last week, we'll lose on Saturday. Louisiana hung 70 points on the board yesterday. It was against a 1-AA, but still, 70 points. We'd better be ready. Moving forward. Kyle Pohl really grew up in the 2nd half; excellent half of football. Our OL generally gave Pohl more than enough time. Our DL got pressure on Gardner while only rushing 4. I don't think we had to blitz very often. If we can continue to do that the rest of the year we'll be in great shape. We really stuffed Michigan's run game all afternoon. Without looking at the official stats, I'd think the vast majority of Michigan's rushing yards had to have come from Gardner's scrambles. That was the DL I was expecting to see against UCF & JMU. Welcome to the party, fellas.
  24. I love the Z helmets. And the zipper stripe looks great on t.v. I didn't think I'd ever be able to say this, but our helmets are cooler than Michigan's. Maybe.
