For a bit of levity: we need to schedule Northwestern

Yes, I watched it. Definitely not a good performance at all. But, I don't think we're as bad as this, nor are we as good as some think we are. We faced a much superior team today. Let's see how we do next week against a more equal opponent.

Not sure. I didn't ask anyone. Lot 10 tailgating was a bit better Saturday, mostly because of the basketball team having a huge tent in the middle of the lot. But, there were several others tailgating in the lot. Seemed more than past years. Still not even close to what 9 is, though.

And, we ripped off a really, really bad design. That thing is a train wreck (speaking as a designer).

Wasn't part of the MAC's deal with ESPN that schools provide AV for games? It sure looks that way on this one.

The headline in the physical paper is different than the online version. More disparaging, if you can believe that. Front page. Center. No wonder no one cares about Zips football.

As a designer with more than 32 years experience, I feel that is one butt-ugly, poorly drawn font. I've hated it since it's introduction. I would prefer to keep it off the uniforms.

It's based on the actual "cost of attendance" that any student would pay, which is the total of tuition plus room and board. So, according to GT's wonderful story, OU's COA is more than Akron's, meaning either their tuition is higher or their room and board is higher, or both. I may be wrong, but I don't think a school could offer more than their actual COA. Whenever we got the new year's statement for my daughter's school it always included the cost of attendance figure.

The ABJ seems to be going out of its way to cast a shadow and sway public opinion against the University. That should have never been a "real" story. Of course most professors are going to be against any sports. That's not really news. But, by reading the comments following the online version, the public is buying in to the negative hype. As if Joe Akron already isn't apathetic enough, now they can be downright disgusted. And feel good about because the ABJ says it's so.

This is NOT an entirely new symbol. This picture was taken in 2003 and based on the dirty brim, it wasn't new. The Z logo was delivered with the A-Roo and all other logos with the Joe Bostik rebrand. It's not a "start-over".

Do you ever hire anyone? A college student absolutely needs a resume nowadays, even high schoolers need one. As for an interview, they need to see and speak to the candidate to determine if they not only have the desire for the position, but the right type of personality. I would have the desire for this type of thing, but I certainly don't have the personality for it. Unless I'm drunk. Too introverted. I think this is a good thing and a good (small) step in creating the type of environment we all want at games.

But, you've probably been there for the wins as well. Take the highs with the lows. It really has been a great 10 years!

That's like when they ran out of cheese pizza BEFORE the game on a Friday night in Lent. Unless you're Catholic, that means squat, but to those of us who are, that's a big deal!

The RubberDucks do it with small budget and a lot of unpaid interns. It doesn't take a lot of money to be creative. It does take money to implement that creativity, though.

Never gonna do anything about the q-tips down low, but the students, that's another story. Those Buffalo kids totally schooled our student section(s) on how to get into a game. For tomorrow night, the students, and not just the Rowdies, need to step up their game. Big time!

I never went to UA, yet I robotically go to every football game, travel to a few, go to most BB games and even some soccer games, all the while professing my association with the school. So it's not just a "Nut" thing.
