Kentucky is the poster child for mediocre "Big 6" "Just get bowl-eligible" teams. They haven't finished above .500 in the SEC in the last decade, and have won more than 7 games exactly twice in the 2000s (8, twice). Are they as bad as they used to be? Nah. But hardly a powerhouse imposibility.Syracuse sucks (no offense TexanMark). Sure, they beat us last year, but that is an absolute winnable game at home. We'll likely even be favored to win that one.Gardener Webb should be in the same neighborhood as the Morgan State game this year.Indiana is also awful. Yes, I know we lost to them too, but this is an IDEAL "turn heads" schedule. If Ianello and co. turn around and run an offense/defense that actually allows for a chance to win (read: no sideways pass or incredibly slow developing draw plays and no 3-3-5), we could set up for a 4-0 non conference. Am I saying we'll win these games? NO. But what's a better chance? A trip to Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Connecticut, Cincinnati etc. or jetting off to Kentucky or Indiana? Build confidence THIS year, use it next year for a gauntlet of a non-conference @ OSU and Cinci.Now I'm going to feel even worse when we finish OOC 1 and 3.

howard may graduate but may not have enough GPA and or test scores to qualify..apparently he has or will take the act multiple times...he is having his hand hled in hs just to qualify...if he has to go prep school and makes it there who knows where he will end up...would be a shame to waste a tough runner like that which akron needs badly at lb..Ok that's twice now. Why are you going to sit there and say things like that when you know nothing about this kid? Honestly. Could his grades be better? Sure. Does he have to deal with things that most of us don't? I would say yes. Can't speak for you, but I know my dad didn't die in an industrial accident that devastated my mom and the rest of my family just before I went into high school. I know my mom never left me with my HS coach to go to Vegas for any period of time. And I know that I didn't have the Ohio media in my face 6 months out of the year because I was best player in the state two years in a row.But yeah the kid is having his "hand held".Maybe when she headed for Vegas she should have left him with an English or Math teacher instead of the coach.

Because this is a compound question it would not be very valuable as a survey component. A person could answer yes to the question because they had trouble located beer before or after the game even though he or she is not a lush while another person could answer the question yes because they are a lush, but had no problem in their pre and post game beer quest. It may be important to distinguish these two groups from lushes who had difficulty located suds.

Here's hoping we can lock up a few more WRs. Only 25% of the verbals so far are WRs. If we can get that figure up to 50% we will be able to use the 6 wide out offense more.

Well as being someone who was "in-the-know" and not really giving a shit anymore about keeping department secrets (and it has been a few years)... from the best of my memory there was a big house part an an athlete's house. I think it was a b-ball person's house, but to which sport they belonged I do not remember. There were several sport teams represented in addition to wbb including wsoc, v-ball, and a few football players. As the night was getting fun a few (three?) individuals crashed the party. They were not invited and no one knew who they were. One of them (girl I think) got jealous about some flirting between a soccer player and her man or something and a fist fight erupted. They were told to leave and refused. A couple of the football players were able to throw them out of the house and once outside one of these strangers drew a gun and fired shots into the air. The athletes, scared of being caught and in trouble for underage drinking, drinking in season, and whatever else the department/coaches would did not call the police. Neighbors did and the police came, but the athletes continued to try to hide in the house. Obviously it got back to the department and there were numerous suspensions and punishments. The most obvious were the wbb ones because they were still in season and lost some of their better players. From the fight on of the soccer girls had her face (cheek or eye socket) fractured and one of the footballers had a black eye. Not all athletes got into as much trouble because each coach creates their own team rules. Somehow the press didn't get a hold of the story, which made it easy to keep hushed. Again this is from my memory so the minute details are not all there, but that's the jest of the story.Just goes to show, keep away from women basketball players when they are in season - cause they are trouble.

Right now the MAC is just too much of a crap shoot. I think us and Can't are starting to try and seperate ourselves from the pack a bit, but it is hard to tell. The rest of the East? Ohio started 0-4 before putting up back to back 99 point performances in wins. Miami has been demolished by us and lost to Ball State but has a win over Can't. BG has a win in Can't but has been destroyed by us on the road and lost at home to Buffalo. Buffalo has fallen flat on their face since their big revenge game against us topped off with a home loss to Ball State.

Just got back from the January 16th thumping of Rose Hulman as the Zip aimers outshot the Battling Hulmaners 4569 to 4454. Twelve of us caravaned down the night before because of the scheduled 9 a.m. start of the match. We stayed at the French Lick Resort and did some heavy gaming at the casino. We pulled an all-nighter and ended up winning a few bucks. Unfortunately, by 9 in the morning half the guys were asleep and the other half were blitzed so we didn't actually make it to the match, but found a really exciting report about it at gozips.com. We had such a good time that we stayed until this morning. Perhaps our best road trip ever.
