Just got back from the January 16th thumping of Rose Hulman as the Zip aimers outshot the Battling Hulmaners 4569 to 4454. Twelve of us caravaned down the night before because of the scheduled 9 a.m. start of the match. We stayed at the French Lick Resort and did some heavy gaming at the casino. We pulled an all-nighter and ended up winning a few bucks. Unfortunately, by 9 in the morning half the guys were asleep and the other half were blitzed so we didn't actually make it to the match, but found a really exciting report about it at gozips.com. We had such a good time that we stayed until this morning. Perhaps our best road trip ever.

I have not seen an official point spread, but I imagine its about Ohio -5. Smart money dictates one go with Ohio and give the points. The Meister says Akron by 14.

The only way! You have got to be kidding. There are scores of ways the MAC gets multiple bids. For example, before selection day a bus accident wipes out all but 60 division I teams (not including any in the MAC).In this scenario we get 5 bids (2 of them in the play in game).

I know i'm new to the whole akron experience, but i am really getting ill with all the negativity on this site. I for one am extremely excited about the upcoming season. I think RI has done a great job putting his staff together and can not wait to see the talent that he will bring into the program.Ah....try and snatch the stone from my hand grasshopper.

ColumnI am thankful the writer just mentioned that 8 MAC teams had pathetic strength of schedules and didn't name the worst offender. But on a positive note, the Zips are are among the nations elite programs when it comes to scheduling weak opponents!
