  1. I wouldn't feel real bad about it. I grew mine long while in the MBA program and it looked bad; not as bad as Kato's, but pretty darn bad.
  2. Latest rumor I've heard has Texas and Oklahoma going to the SEC in 2025. That would drop the Big 12 down to 8 teams and they could go back to their old moniker. If the AAC picks off a couple of MAC teams, Akron will do just fine in a 10 team MAC. https://www.cornnation.com/2021/7/22/22588087/frosted-flakes-texas-oklahoma-moving-to-the-sec-is-real
  3. What if we give away tickets which entitle the holder admission to the game and entry into a lottery. But, to win the lottery the ticket holder must be present at the game to collect the ($5,000 or whatever) prize. I seem to recall that the possibility of free tuition packed the students into games (or maybe this was just a dream).
  4. A bird has made a nest on Kato's head and because it is on the endangered species list he is prevented from removing it. The Zips equipment manager is working 24/7 designing a football helmet that will fit over both Kato's head and the nest.
  5. I like the Zips chances in this event, in part, because .......................................... The only noise coming out of Evansville lately is groaning from their fans. Their overall record in the last three seasons has been: 2020-21: 9-16 including a signature loss to Prairie View, 2019-20: 9-23 including 0-18 in conference, and 2018-19: 11-21. Fordham is the doormat of the A10 with 11 conference wins over the last 4 seasons. Rice is no powerhouse; over the last 3 seasons they have lost 6 more games than they have won. Vermont has enjoyed some success in the America East Conference which was rated the 22nd best conference in the country at the end of last season by Jeff Sagarin.
  6. 2. At this point, the athletic department does not have enough money to purchase the batteries required to keep the clock running all the way to zero. There are plans to start the clock up 2.5 days before kickoff.
  7. I have serious doubts about them paying us to wear their stuff. When it comes to football, we could probably make more money getting athletic wear companies to pay us not to wear their stuff.
  8. 4. A countdown clock is being discussed, but administrators have been deadlocked for weeks over whether it should be analog or digital.
  9. 9. Given the lack of info coming out of the athletic department, we can't be sure the Zips will actually show up for the first game.
  10. 10. The excitement of a countdown clock would be too much for most posters on Zipsnation.
  11. I love (not) links that require me to pay money to read them. $1 to subscribe!!! What do you think; I'm made of money????
  12. Couple of other things; I used to think the Zips were slow publishing their OOC schedule, but compared to Suckeyes just getting their 2020-21 OOC schedule out makes the Zips seem really speedy. I could have sworn they played a BIG only schedule last season.
  13. I concur. It's a wonder he hasn't drawn more interest. He hits a lot harder than most people with bangs.
  14. It took you over four years to come up with that reply! Come on, you are better than that.
  15. Making the heroic assumption that I'm not the last guy to figure this out, I offer the following. When a head football coach leaves a mid-major school to assume the head coaching job at a P5 school, how can he reward a bad coach for loyalty and, at the same time, remove the bad coach from a coaching position? Make him a general manager. I figured this out while reviewing the new football staff positions at Kansas.
  16. The same college football teams end up in the “playoffs” year after year because they have a monopoly on the better players. The best way to achieve parity between all D1 teams is to eliminate recruiting and substitute a draft. Most high school jocks aren’t smart enough to pick the best school for them anyway; so let’s let all D1 schools pick them. Anyone who isn’t drafted and still wants to play college football could play D2 or D3. To avoid negating the many advantages of a draft the transfer portal should also be eliminated, but players could switch schools if the schools involve agree on a trade. Most D1 players have visions of playing in the NFL, and this system would have the added benefit of showing them how the NFL works.
  17. You must have loaded up on the negative pills 72. The maximum influence that guy can have (assuming he gets into the game) is to change a Zip's blow-out into a Zip's 3-TD win.
  18. After our two victories over P5 schools this coming season I believe your thinking is absolutely correct.
  19. Why so negative? Arth's rating is way up from last season. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/list/2021-ranking-college-football-coaches-1-130/aucm7nf38ieq12rwz0wbezasn

  21. Now that NIL applies in Ohio, look for Zip recruiting to take off. More than a handful of Zip footballers are likely to cash-in bigger than most reserves on the OSU women's volleyball team. Good times are ahead.
  22. I believe you just enumerated some of the details which explain why they are dumber.
  23. I agree that hoarders are not particularly smart, but it helps if the employer is dumber than the hoarder.
