It appears that Chris Korb is under contract with DC United for 2018. This link has a summary for all of the MLS teams. The 4 still playing have later deadlines (Dec 1 & 10) to make their roster moves known. In the NE Revs article linked above, I missed that Teal Bunbury is out of contract. Teal has 8 years in MLS but is only 27; so, he is not a free agent. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/11/24/contract-deadline-day-2017-stay-date-all-moves-around-mls

Unfortunately, Kofi Sarkodie is not under contract for 2018 with San Jose. https://www.sjearthquakes.com/post/2017/11/27/news-earthquakes-announce-roster-moves-ahead-2018-mls-season Also of note in the Quakes announcement is the following: Free Agency begins on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 12 p.m. PT. Out of Contract and Option Decline players that were at least 28 years old during the 2017 season and have at least eight years of MLS service are eligible for Free Agency. Ben Zemanski is 29 and has 8 years in MLS. (Chivas: 2010, 11, 12; Timbers: 2013, 14, 15, 16, 17) Kofi is only 26 and has only 7 years in MLS (2011-17)

Timbers announced they exercised 2018 options for Darren Mattocks and Zarek Valentin. Darlington Nagbe is also under contract for 2018. Unfortunately, Midfielder Ben Zemanski is out of contract with the Timbers and will be eligible for MLS free agency, which begins at 12 noon PT on Tuesday, Dec. 12. https://www.timbers.com/post/2017/11/27/portland-timbers-announce-roster-status-ahead-2018-season

Congratulations to Scott Caldwell on having his 2018 option picked up by the New England Revolution. https://www.revolutionsoccer.net/post/2017/11/27/revolution-announce-year-end-roster-moves Repeated from another thread (now realizing it is time to start this one)... Congrats to former Zip Saad Abdul-Salaam, whose 2018 option was picked up by Sporting KC. https://www.sportingkc.com/post/2017/11/27/sporting-kc-exercises-options-11-players-ahead-2018-mls-season I missed this back on November 16th...Montreal exercised their 2018 option for former Zip Evan Bush... https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/11/16/montreal-impact-announce-roster-moves-will-extend-blerim-dzemailis-loan

I'm staying near the airport which is close to UL's soccer stadium and Churchill Downs. Some will likely want to see the Louisville Slugger Museum (https://www.sluggermuseum.com/), but I'm more interested in the Kentucky Derby Museum (https://www.derbymuseum.org/) if I have time to do either. There may be other options, but I'm only there the one afternoon/night.

How about speakers [perhaps, wireless] mounted on the light posts on the other side of the stadium? I sit in the front close to the field in front of the press box, and it is still unbearable there. I would like to keep my hearing.

The experience is not the same without showing up for warm ups and staying to hear the "I Believe" chant and congratulating our players. They are awesome players, student-athletes, great young men. I only get on them from time to time because I know they are capable of winning it all, but they have to want it more than their opponents. I love our Mens Soccer program... Caleb, Jared, et al took it to the pinnacle in 2010 and Jared, et al have done well carrying the tradition. I have and will go out of my way for this team. Totally agree buflobo. Cut the music when the players & Rowdies do the "I Believe" chant. Is it really that difficult to remember to do that?! The March to the Match seems to be gone; please let's not destroy the "I Believe" celebrations.

https://collegesoccernews.com/index.php/awards/team-of-the-week/1124-college-soccer-news-national-team-of-the-week-week-ending-november-26-2017 Sam Gainford - RS Senior - Forward - Akron Gainford continues to be an impact player on the offensive side of the ball for Akron. He found the back of the net from twenty-five yards out and placed a shot into the left corner of the goal to play a key role in Akron's 3-2 win in overtime against Wisconsin. Senior forward Stuart Holthusen netted the game-winning goal for the Zips who improve to 18-3-1 and will face Louisville in the Elite Eight.

No time for 'Woe is me. If we just had the 4 seed.' The Zips' seeding in this tournament was fair. Our Zips can do this, but they have to want it more than Louisville. Given the way the Zips looked at the end of regulation v Wisconsin, I'm not sure that is the case. It's time to see if Jared, staff, and team can do something that Caleb Porter, staff, and team could not ... get to the College Cup without having a top 4 seed. Others have done it, but they wanted it more than their opponent and found the way to grind it out. Hopefully, these Zips will do the same and stop looking to the referees when they get a little bump. Man up. Hard nose soccer gets it done in this tournament. Go Zips!!!

I just noticed that WMU is at MSU on Saturday at 6 pm. Did MSU add lights at DeMartin this season or are they playing elsewhere?

WMU already defeated Albany. They are now facing Michigan State at East Lansing. WMU lost once to MSU at Kalamazoo earlier this season.
