Congrats to Coach Herlihy

Keep up the rah rah, but it's hard for me to get excited when I don't see the investment for improvement. -

Without a GA deal, it would have to be a homegrown. -

Thanks to ZIP, some more analytics (not as in-depth as the Nagbe article). I know Buflobo will enjoy reading. I think others will too. I did. https://possessionwithpurpose.com/2017/06/28/gluck-getting-hot-in-portland/ https://possessionwithpurpose.com/2017/11/20/gluck-porter-pulls-out-of-portland/

Others in MAC Basketball have made it to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. Others in MAC Football have made it to significant Bowl games. Our Men's Soccer team won a National Championship in the MAC. Blaming the MAC is a lame excuse.

Jared Embick is also trying. Perhaps not as vocal but certainly by action (as can be seen by Akron’s approach to the game). I credit Wake Forest as well. -
Dener Dos Santos - Speaking at Fall Graduation
Zip_ME87 replied to Zip_ME87's topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
I don't know about 1982, but I can assure you that the crowd at Spring graduation in 1987 would have filled the performing arts hall and all of the lobbies and likely spilled out into the streets. The 6 pm ceremony at EJ Thomas on December 16, 2017 was quite full. Although President Wilson and others had to go through it 3 times, the 1.5 hour ceremony resulting from multiple ceremonies was quite welcome for this attendee. -

Yes, ZIP. They have been holding multiple ceremonies for sometime now. EJ Thomas Hall is not large enough to do otherwise. Like me, you may have graduated at the Richfield Coliseum, which is now an open field. This was Fall graduation. They could get all ceremonies done in one day. In Spring (May), there are more ceremonies spread over Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday, I believe. -

Because that is the type of player/play that MLS values and the referees in the College Cup are MLS referees. It's the same valued style and type of players that continue to stunt the US ability to compete with the rest of the world. -
