These Zips and Coach Embick and staff are awesome. My post was over the top in response to the remarks about the 5 seed v the 4 seed. As far as looking to the referees about a bump, take a look at our forwards some time. I attend most every match. It happens at times. My challenge was "man up; it's the NCAA Tourney. You're not going to get easy calls and often they won't be fair". As far as the remark about Jared/Caleb...Friday night Jared did something Caleb didn't...he is taking the Zips to the College Cup without having all home games in the NCAA Tourney through the Elite 8! Jared's coaching and development of this team this season has been nothing less than stellar. The team that advanced to the College Cup on Friday at Louisville is not the same team that lost to UVU and Denver in August. Their development has been pure pleasure to watch. I'm sorry if I offended you with what I wrote as a challenge to them. I love this team, its players, and its coaches. I'm a season ticket holder and UA Alum who has followed them on the road as well as at home all season and for numerous years past. I proudly and loudly supported them at Louisville and will be in Philadelphia to do the same. Hotel booked for semi-final and Championship matches! Go Zips!!!

Please stop the soccer v football stuff or move it to another thread. This thread should be about Zips Men's Soccer in the College Cup, specifically v Stanford Friday night. Unless you're a Stanford fan visiting this board, I think we can all agree, Go Zips!

Reminds me that I wish Akron would schedule the academies again. We used to play Army (and Navy) from time to time. Nothing like hearing the Army band play the Akron Blue and Gold as part of a Cadet review. Also cool to watch the Army Black Knights parachute in with the game ball. West Point...beautiful!

For those of you going "Bowl"ing, travel to Boca Raton is much easier than Montgomery and some of the other places. With Boca Raton, you have Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Miami airports. The drive from Orlando isn't short, but it is doable if the price is significantly better. Fort Myers across the state (closer than Orlando) is another option. If I were interested in going, I think I'd be very happy with the location. When FAU was in the MAC for Men's soccer, I traveled there. Beautiful location. Enjoy.
