  1. No argument. Hopefully, the 2 late goals were psychologically helpful. 3-day turnaround for the next game v Marquette leaves little time to recover.
  2. That's your opinion with which I honestly disagree. Seth is a good GK but not better than Mitch, at least not yet (in my opinion). I'm comfortable with either and don't believe any of Creighton's goals could be attributed to poor GK play. If so, I'm sure Seth would have subbed into the game.
  3. 1-0 Creighton. 48'
  4. Not sure if this link will work, but the game is on live stream radio ... https://player.listenlive.co/52381
  5. 7 pm EDT / 6 pm CDT
  6. I will be surprised if the committee's rankings vary much from the RPI on the NCAA site at the time ... https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/soccer-men/d1/ncaa-mens-soccer-rpi

  8. One would think you would be happy with the draw given your earlier post that this was likely to be a loss. Terrible, small field, turf, crappy center ref and an AR who barely did anything except hop along the sideline. I have to say that although I despise scoreless draws, I'm happy with the result given the conditions and shorthanded roster. Hopefully, Mitch Budler's injury was not too serious, and he will be able to return soon. However, I'm totally comfortable with Seth Wilson in goal.
  9. Being from West Chester, Ashton has a nice contingent of family and friends in the stands tonight. Happy to see him start.
  10. Kidding aside, it is an unpleasant drive to which I'm not looking forward. However, to me, it is well worth my time and expense to support our team in person when I can. Regardless of what some on this forum may think because my expectations are high, I happily support our players, coaches, and staff on the road as well as at home, when I can. My job has not afforded me the ability to be at all of the games that I would have loved to have attended this season, but this one and at Butler lend themselves to my attending in person, and I plan to be there. As others have posted, this will be a tough conference divisional road match. The BE schedulers did us no favors scheduling Xavier, Creighton, and Butler on the road in the same season. Hopefully key starters and subs are healthy and all are mentally ready for a tough battle tonight. Go Zips!!!
  11. Thanks for the reminder about the blocking feature. Reading this forum is so much nicer. 😊
  12. I prefer to pay > double that in gasoline. lol
  13. Are any other members of ZN planning the trip to Cincinnati Saturday?
  14. Stats from the Mens Soccer 2019 Media Guide for comparison.
  15. Truth is that there is at least one poster on this forum (not me) who has seen a lot more Zips men's soccer than most of us and that goes well back past 2009 and 10. Before you gripe about someone's comments about greatest Zips scorer of all time, please dig up the Zips Men's soccer media guide that UA used to publish so that you can fairly compare players' accomplishments. Too many current fans want to ignore any accomplishments except for the players whom they know and have seen. I don't want to jinx Shooky either. He is having a great season, and I hope it continues for him. I'm sure he's among top Zips scorers and hope he will continue to climb that ladder. Sorry to hear about Joey. I hope he is ok and fully recovers quickly. Thanks to those who kept me up to date last night while on this business trip and at a function where I was unable to watch. I appreciate the texts. Go Zips!!!
  16. I hope you're right. Unfortunately, I'm out of town and tied up this evening; unable to watch. Disappointing to have to miss a road game so close to home. Go Zips!
  17. @zippy-claws I acknowledge you didn't outright call for our ZipsWSoc coach to be fired. I was picking up on your seeming lack of patience and an assumed want of a change. "I just do not see a coach with only DIII experience knowing how to recruit for a DI program at this point, and no one seems to want to help her succeed." ... doesn't seem very supportive to me. I'm not at all connected in our Athletics Department as I admit I 'm not a fan of our current AD and the minions he has hired and avoid them for the most part. Who would you expect to help our coach recruit other than her assistant coaches? Unfortunately good $$$ after bad are wasted trying to improve a Zips gridiron program that seems destined to always be bottom 10. The dismal record of Akron WSoc also has to make it difficult for anyone to recruit effectively. They have no history on which to sell the program. Any coach is going to require significant time to establish some type of credibility.
