As usual this MAC season, a tale of 2 halves. If we held onto the ball and played two full halves, there's not a team in the MAC who could be within 15+ points.

I disagree. I like bringing him off the bench. Give the starters a chance to establish themselves(how well did Chauncey play? Wow) and then have a guy like Nik to give the team an INCREDIBLE spark off the bench. This team is one of the more skilled I've seen since I've been at Akron since 2006.

Seriously. Have I ever mentioned that I love the way this kid plays? Great, great second half by the entire team.

I've tried a couple Samuel Smith's before and have been underwhelmed to be honest. One of which was the Oatmeal Stout. I might have to try the Taddy Porter though.

Ah damn, that last shot hurt. Need to tighten things up in the second half. 10 turnovers are too many. Still, feeling pretty good. Rico has played Cooper well and Zeke has been pretty good on pick & roll situations.

Agreed. He's got a great stroke. Zips look pretty good so far. Couple bad turnovers but both teams have come to play. This one will probably come down to the wire.

Finally. Some good defense leads to good offense and the Zips are within 3. Just after I muted the homers too

I want to let someone else listen to Frenchie sometime to see if he is as much of a homer as these guys. Although the two charges earlier looked like good calls.

I love the form Nik is in now. Nice offensive board and an and-1. We have to pick it up on defense, though.

Glad I'm not the only one down on Nitro. Those last two shots were atrocious.

I still have my old OBC growler from the brew pub. Hopefully with the new Ohio law allowing for brewery tasting rooms without a 2nd ($4,000/year) permit, I'll be able to fill it there again before long. The law doesn't go into effect until March 19 however you should still be able to get it filled there! But regardless, that is exciting. I will definitely be popping over there after work weekly once they open the tasting room. I've been to Thirsty Dog's once but that was only to pick up a six pack of Old Leghumper since I was unable to find it at either drive through on Exchange, I've been meaning to go back there sometime.

Thanks! I like Steel Valley as well. I hope to see them bottle a bigger selection before too long. Zip Hop Ale is a great double IPA they brewed once or twice when they had the brew pub. Alternative Amber was also a favorite of mine. I think I heard them say O'Hoppy Ale would be bottled soon. I work literally across the street from OBC and love the smell of the barley in the afternoon when I leave and they are brewing... They were supposedly getting growlers in, I would get one of those in a heartbeat.

Where did you pick up the 6 pack, if I may ask? I was able to sample Jingle Bell Ale on tap at the party OBC threw in their Selle St production facility around Halloween, but I've had zero luck finding it at a few Giant Eagles and Acmes. That's an interesting guess on the secret ingredient, BTW. I believe the flavor you're tasting is vanilla. I actually picked it up at the Giant Eagle on Howe(which has a great microbrew selection now that they redid the place) but it was about 3 weeks ago. I loved JBA but their Steel Valley Stout is one of my favorite Stouts I've ever had.

I'm pleased to report that I found a holiday beer I like more than the famed GLBC Christmas Ale.... Ohio Brewing Company's Jingle Bell Ale. picked a six pack up a few weeks ago and tried to make it last as long as possible. Such a great taste. If I didn't know better I'd say they used chocolate in the brewing process but it is a really good beer.

My apologies, CK, it's just beginning to get frustrating to see everyone buying into every rumor that sounds plausible. Like I said in another post, I will try to take myself away from this until something is formally announced. Some can handle the rumors, I apparently cannot.

I'm heading to the CBA now, I hear Tressel is considering taking business classes at the University. no wait, I am just heading there for class.

shhhhhhhhhh that is a very refutable source seriously though, with the way these rumors are going crazy, I am going to try and keep away until our next coach is actually announced by the university. that was me, I was just poking fun at the rumors. It is beginning to become absurd.

this just proves how Jekyll & Hyde this team will be. We have seen flashes of greatness in the MSU and Detroit games and times of piss-poor play like Valpo and the first half today. The way this game started out I thought we were going to keep it close to the end but now I'll be happy if we lose by 15 or less.
