  1. Less than 7 hours to tip off! Who made the trip? I imagine with it being spring break the Rowdies would have to have organized a trip. I know if I wasn't working a full schedule this week I'd be there. The Zips are getting 6.5 points, and I expect them to beat the spread as well as win the game. Can't wait, is it 9PM yet?
  2. My roommate brought home a growler of Headhunter IPA from Fat Heads in North Olmsted this weekend. Here's my review: Fat Head's Head Hunter IPA 4.8/5 look: 5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 5 | feel: 4 | overall: 5 Poured from a growler purchased a few days ago from Fatheads. Appearance: golden yellow-orange color with a finger offsite off-white, thick head. The color is beautiful. Quite a bit of retainment for an IPA. Smell: strong pine and citrus smell, maybe a little too strong actually. Taste: unrealistically good taste. Great hops flavor, mild alcoholic kick. Mouthfeel: a little carbonated, probably because of the serving type. A bit dry, but it goes down smooth. Overall: without a doubt the best single IPA I've ever had. Incredible taste. I will be disappointed when the growler is empty. Also here is a link to all the beers I've reviewed: http://beeradvocate.com/user/beers?ba=BrianGaynor
  3. If Chauncey actually reads the posts here he'd realize the fans don't hate him. I just re-read the original post and it is clear to me that you stopped reading after seeing the C-. UAZip praises CG's fire and passion and intensity, and it is clear the reason that his grade was so poor was because he has seen the flashes of brilliance you speak of and expects to see more of the same next year, but it wasn't always there this year. I'll feed your trolling by asking you, how do you think CG's game could have been better this year? I'm talking individually, don't put blame on the coaches for not playing him enough, or his teammates for not giving him the ball. For the record, I disagree with the C- and would probably put him at a B, weighing more heavily on his performance towards the end of the season where his game was more complete with taking good shots and being much more active on the defensive end.
  4. He must really believe he is on the hot seat then.
  5. That game was an absolute nightmare. Looking forward to tomorrow night. I have to give the NU fans credit, they seem to have done their research on us, and aren't fully confident in their team(some are, some aren't) with their matchup with us.
  6. Thank you for referring to the Zips teams as "you guys" Clearly you are not an actual Zps fan. I understand CG is your boy but I agree with taxpayer, your attitude is horrific. This board would be much better without you. But hey at least I know to not to read any of your posts again.
  7. I speak only for myself, but I don't go to our basketball games to set an atmosphere. I spend most of the game sitting down paying attention to every aspect of the game to see what adjustments are being made and what need to be made. That said, that is one of the reasons I don't sit with the Rowdies. It's just not my style. I don't go to sports games to scream and shout. However I think last night a lot of Akron fans weren't as loud as the OU fans because the OU fans had more to be excited about. Whenever they needed a big basket they got one. With around 4 minutes left our guys started tightening up and playing harder and the Zips fans got into it. I stood up the final two minutes but I wasn't screaming.
  8. Watch the replay. The picture makes it look like he is pulling on the rim. He barely makes contact with it, not enough to even move the basket.
  9. Just watched it again. The correct call was made.
  10. Do you not have a tv? The game is on ESPN2.
  11. I literally laughed out loud, thanks. OU traveled well last night, but there is no way in hell they will outnumber Zips fans tonight. Expect a raucous crowd from the start. Look for OU to come out and try to establish the three ball early. Zips defenders need to get out in the face of shooters, namely Cooper, since he is an emotional guy and it fuels his play. Make him miss shots and it'll start getting his head. Good defense will lead to good offense and like last nights game the Zips will jump out on top early and maintain the lead throughout. Bobcats will make it interesting at the end, as we never seem to concretely close out games, but the Zips pull it out with a couple of late free throws. Zips 74 OU 71
  12. UAZipsMan and I had dinner at Cadillac Ranch. $2 domestics were nice but we had a couple of kinda overpriced appetizers. Thankfully they were tasty. There were a couple Zips fans there with us but overall it was very chill. Won't be pregaming tomorrow but I will be back next year!
  13. Late in the game, Abreu was fouled hard by one of the Can't players. Greene was in the area and immediately helped Alex up and have him a pat on the back. Not that I didn't haven't respect for him before that, but I definitely gained some after seeing that. He definitely just came to play. Shame the rest of his comrades couldn't be like that.
  14. Always enjoy the tweets. I often tweet to you during these games
  15. If there are you can be sure I'll be on top of getting them up on YouTube to preserve!
  16. Had to vote for last year's victory. Side note: 3 of your 5 vids were uploaded by yours truly. Lol
  17. Great read. It's a shame there are still people who stereotype him as a dumb jock. I had the pleasure of chatting with Zeke a year or so ago on the Roo. He is very well spoken and I agree with what was said earlier about him being raised right. Well done Mama Zeke!
  18. He's a multiple offender. I won't forget him running over D Roberts last year or the year before up in Cleveland. You play dirty, you will never get the benefit of the doubt.
  19. Stainbrook gets ejected for throwing a forearm to Porinni's face. Can't is up 17, we'll be seeing them tomorrow.
  20. I've been to at least one game every year, I came to UA in 06. Lol
  21. Can't is up 35-30 at the half. WMU closed the half on a 5-0 run.
  22. Right. Since I can remember, we haven't lost to WMU in Cleveland, but I still can't foretaste our loss to Can't a few years back. I hold true to my statement of wanting WMU.
