Sitting here with the Kentucky v. Kansas game on, and Dick Vitale was talking about the upsets early in the season, including CSU's win over Vandy, and he said something along the lines of "how about all those tweets, lots of tweets, from the man Lebron James about Akron beating Mississippi State." I know it was pretty short but still nice to hear in a game that didn't feature a school from Ohio.

I am actually unimpressed the Can't so far. I know it's an early game but they can't be shooting more than 30% through the ten minutes of the first half. There is no balance to their game. They pound the ball inside with little to no perimeter shooting. I've only seem them attempt one 3 and it was a miss. And as I typed that last sentence they hit a three. Both teams have suspect interior defense, though. They're just not hitting shots. Also, I've heard three references to Akron so far.

x2 on Ruination. Definitely my favorite IPA, I was sad to see it not make the list.

I like the matchup for our Zips. Can't ask for much better conditions based off of our performance during the season. Likely matchups with #6,#11,and then #3 teams should we win thursday and keep winning.

48 games without a loss. You had to think that streak would end eventually but not to a sub-0.500 team.

okay I never knew Hoppin Frog was brewed in Akron. So where can I try all these? I like Porters and Stouts as well but give me a good IPA and I'm happy.

Ok, I'll bite. What are you drinking now? Well I've been enjoying IPAs since spring and since Tap House has Goose Island IPA on tap that's what I drink =P If I had my choice of IPA I'd drink Stone Ruination IPA. Powerful but SO good. Also, the Edmund Fitzgerald-Guinness comparison is not possible because any time you go from a Porter to a Stout you'll notice quite a difference lol

This is coming with tons of respect but I think the "I come to watch" mentality is another problem we have. I am no way coming at you personally either. I understand wanting to watch and see the game unfold but you can still join in on chants and songs. A big reason some of them dont carry and have time to pick up are because people who do know them and are right there refuse to do them. We don't need everyone to be over the top screaming and heckling but you can definitely chant and sing from the top of the hill and still watch the game. My problem comes when we have tons of student fans who come to all the games and "love" this team but refuse to do what the team and our Coach wish that we would to. Were not here entertaining ourselves. A lot of what we do is directly requested from Caleb Porter. Its not just for ROWDIES either. I understand wanting to watch the game. We play beautiful soccer. But alot of fans need to realize that we are part of the game and that the games aren't just for your entertainment. We do have a purpose as fans Don't get me wrong, I don't just stand there when we score. I scream and yell along with everyone else. But because chanting isn't my thing, I did not join the Rowdies. I don't stand up front hogging a spot that someone else could be using who would be more vocal. Also, can someone fill me in on why Holmes was unavailable the first six games?

The Tap House has bottles of this, I'll have to try one next time I'm in. I used to be obsessed with Guinness, but now it doesn't have enough taste for me =P

Funny you say that. That basically describes me. I'm not someone who uses profanity due to my Faith. The fact is that there are a few chants I don't participate in. Especially the "Put the ball into the net and we'll go F'ing mental one." I think this one goes way over the line and might end up stopping people from bringing their family to the games. The ROWDIES said it was going to be "freaking mental", but you had to know that it wasn't going to stay that way... That said, I don't have a voice this morning because I was plenty loud on 90% of the chants and made my voice heard anytime the Zips were pushing for a scoring opportunity. I am glad this was brought up. I hate that chant. Sure, we are all adults, but to me it gives the Rowdies a bad name. That said, I like what the Rowdies do. I don't want to come off wrong. Now I should mention that I am not a member of the AK-Rowdies because when I go to the games I prefer to watch them without chanting. Me being a member of the Rowdies would be pointless. But, this is why I don't stand directly behind the goal. I prefer to stand near the top of the hill so I can watch the game.

I'll have to start getting there earlier so I can come down to the goal with you lol

2004 A4 1.8T Quattro. I had a 98 Audi before this one and didn't do much to it, but once I got this one last year I found myself wanting to tweak a lot more. The orange wheels aren't for everyone but I love them being unique. I'll probably be an Audi guy forever, as long as I can afford them.

It's around the 0:50 mark, but the stadium looks great there. Wish we could pack it like they do in the game lol I'll have to pick the game up for sure.
