It means the Alamo gets the second pick of the non-Playoff teams in both leagues. Whether it actually picks the second place team is a different matter

    Yep that's the order they get to pick. Our champ went to the Lending Tree Bowl last year, and Boca the year before, which is the same bowl we went to in 2017 when it wasn't even a MAC affiliated bowl.

    Conference records have absolutely nothing to do with bowl eligibility. Yes they have conference tie-ins. I don't believe there's much use in engaging you anymore

    We just went through it with baseball.. I'm not sure the specifics but it's probably out there somewhere being so recent. It terminated immediately IIRC

    Perhaps if there was one scholarship athlete on campus. But I think there are incremental costs of having hundreds of them on campus.. probably not to the level of the scholarship value but resources have to be spent to care for that many. On top of that they get some additional items like their tutors and academic support that not all students get

    In any case, no I do not know if he interviewed or not. I also find it unfair to question his character or commitment to the team without more evidence that an interview happened from a more credible source.

    I'm not really sure how I feel about it quite yet. You're worth whatever someone will pay you, right? I don't see many players really making meaningful dollars off of this. I mean maybe what, 10-15 are really nationally relevant year to year. Though then you can cross the line into "pay to play" if the rates get egregious.. Glad I'm not the one making the rules!

    Well I thought common sense would be for them to have the right to make money like the rest of us so I think we're on different wavelengths ?

    Very few of these guys are going to make enough off of their likeness to exceed the scholarship amount they are given. These kids aren't even allowed to work part time jobs, what's the big deal with them earning some extra cash on the side? I had academic scholarships, should I have forfeited those when I earned money from my part time job?
