  1. You did not say that. You said : So I found the answers for you.
  2. I feel dirty sticking up for the SEC, but buckzip keeps moving the goalposts and it's kind of fun. Soon, the SEC will be afraid because they all don't play the preseason #1 @ their place every year.
  3. So if it's a rivalry game it doesn't count as going to a major school? Noted. Disregard those, and we'll just count Bama @ PSU, LSU @WVU, Tenn @ Oregon, and Auburn @ Clemson. WVU was ranked #16, that isn't a major road game?
  4. At home though. LSU also played at WVU 2 years ago, to add.
  5. Since you ask. Bama played at PSU 2 years ago. UF plays @ FSU and Miami every other year. SC plays @ Clemson every other year. Tennessee played at Oregon this year. Auburn played at Clemson two years ago.
  6. I have no agenda sir. I was the one that said that, and never said it was THE reason for their success. To say it isn't a reason is pretty foolish, to put it lightly.
  7. Nobody said that is the sole reason, and I'm sure Dave doesn't appreciate words being put in his mouth. Not gonna lie, I'm finding it a little hard to have a civil debate with someone that says secheats every time. The move definitely had an impact on recruiting. So did their recent success, Texas' downfall, if you will. There are a lot of factors.. Joining the SEC is definitely one, I'm sure Sumlin mentions that at some point in all of his "relationships."
  8. Not a good enough name, conference affiliation, either or, we are in agreement. They aren't ranked 14th because of some Midwestern inferiority complex. I'm 100% in agreement on no preseason polls.
  9. NIU is ranked low because they play in the MAC.
  10. So you are saying NIU's chances of top 10/Lynch's Heisman long shot are because NIU is from the Midwest?
  11. Okay?
  12. Yep and they also have Bama as favorites over all of them. 4.5 over FSU
  13. Seems like a very unbiased source
  14. Well I've read that as of now, OSU would be about 1.5 point favorite over Auburn. If I remember correctly, Bama would be favored over anyone. So I would assume just Bama.
  15. A&M's 2011 class was #27 - that was before the announcement. They jumped to #15, then 11, and are now at the third overall class for class of 2014 recruits.
  16. There is a difference between "bragging" about the SEC and stating facts. I hate that conference as much as anyone, but they're the best. Plain and simple.
  17. Along with Texas' stumbles, A&M definitely had some things going right for them on the recruiting trail. Buckzip's point seemed to be that the SEC wasn't that great because mediocre Big 12 teams could come in and win. A&M is ranked 24th, they're hardly dominating anyway. Mizzou took an extra year to compete, finishing with 2 SEC wins last year. Upon further review A&M went 2-2 against ranked SEC teams last year and beat old Big 12 foe OU 41-13 in the Sugar Bowl. So while they had a rough time with good SEC teams, #11 Oklahoma wasn't much of a challenge
  18. I'm speechless. You imply I'm dumb/not understanding something and claim I make a personal attack. Pot calling the kettle black. Anyway, as for the SEC recruiting point I brought up.. Would you not agree the biggest contributors to A&M's win over Bama were freshmen?
  19. Way to stay mature. You do represent the OSU fanbase very well, I will say.
  20. I don't even understand what your point is. You admitted that they're the best conference. So.. They're like really good but not really really good?
  21. Yes that is exactly what I said. However one could make a good argument that yes, the SEC recruits beat Bama as Johnny Football and Mike Evans were Freshmen.
  22. Or maybe going to the SEC helped their recruiting a little bit. Nah..
  23. Didn't say that's why they are no longer a laughing stock. They are no longer a laughingstock because they are playing better football. The points I made are just evidence of not being a joke anymore, not the reasons why. I agree with what you said.
  24. The MAC isn't so much of a laughing stock anymore. Looking like two straight years of BCS bids, and 7 bowl eligible teams two straight years. Multiple teams got votes throughout the year. We aren't that far off from where the MWC was a couple years ago when they were considered the cream of the non-AQ crop and deserving of am automatic BCS bid over the Big East. Gotta keep the momentum up, an NIU bowl win will do a lot for the perception of the conference. Funny how standing pat through the realignment chaos worked out.
  25. Nothing will get you a warm welcome like ripping on our school with your first post.
