There. Now I, and those who agree with me, can feel superior to both sides of that debate.

Meves' spot is not safe. Besides, he's a junior now. if he takes us to the College Cup for a third year straight, he could conceivably go pro early. These young GKs can redshirt or sit this season out and whoever wins after meves is gone will start the next three or four years.

He doesn't have that option, which is all we really want. "Youre either green and growing or ripe and rotting" is a pretty clear indicator that he views reaching a successful level as the beginning of a decline. Sustainability isn't an option.
