  1. Toledo down 31-12 against EMU at halftime. Whoever gets the 5th seed in the MAC can just pencil in a W for the first round in the MAC tournament.
  2. Ball State up 36-25 against CMU at half.
  3. Buffalo up 35-20 against Bowling Green at half.
  4. My guess is that he gets passes around his knees and has to lift the ball 6 feet to get a shot off. There's a large window there for shorter players to slap the ball away.
  5. I'm amazed OU has any gas left.
  6. I feel a ref screw-job coming on.
  7. Wild passes are killing us.
  8. Channelsurfing.net only works if there is a feed to begin with. I don't know if Miami even broadcasts their games.
  9. Men's Soccer spring schedule announced.2010 UA Men's Soccer Spring ScheduleMar. 7 at Cleveland State, Cleveland, Ohio, 6 p.m.Mar. 27 vs. Oakland, Detroit, Mich., 3 p.m.Mar. 27 vs. Michigan, Detroit, Mich., 4:30 p.m.Apr. 10 at West Virginia, Morgantown, W.Va., 3 p.m.Apr. 18 at Maryland, College Park, Md., 1 p.m.Apr. 24 vs. Indiana, Cincinnati, Ohio, 8 p.m.No home games this time, presumably due to construction on the field. The game at CSU is close enough to have a strong showing of Akron fans, though.
  10. Zeke should play a whole lot in this game if we want to win.
  11. This game is important on many levels. A win puts us in charge of the MAC East, gives the team confidence, ends years of being insulted by BG fans and coaches, and sends a message to the MAC that our team is legitimate. If you only go to one women's basketball game this year, make it this one. You'll get a chance to sit in the reserved section, if you don't normally, because seating is first-come first-served for women's games. The games are no longer unwatchable. The team plays great defense and has a strong inside-out style offense and uses lots of fast breaks.Hopefully they can show the Bracketbuster on the TV in the Tommy Evans Lounge.
  12. This game will be tough. All MAC East road games are. Every game is now a must-win.The key is obviously to stop Kenny Hayes. A name to watch out for is Allen Roberts who comes off the bench.Miami message board
  13. You can cheer for Egner, but you need to cheer extra hard against his teammate Mark Henniger.
  14. Cooper's numbers will go down if OU adds more depth or gets a better supporting cast around him, simply because he won't be relied on to carry the team as much.
  15. The "dude" is a freshman and previously had something like a 29 point game. Next year he will be a terror, and after that who knows...He definately has the moves.Steve French was comparing him to Len Paul. I saw almost every game Len Paul played (he was 6'3" BTW, not the 6'5" they were saying, he just played big) and this guy looks better. That inside move is sweet, and he looks like a dead on 3 point shooter. Wish we had him!so two 30 point games make you an NBA prospect? Exactly, he's a freshman. maybe, after his senior year he'll make it. We will see.No but anyone that has seen at least more than one basketball game in their life will tell you right now that he has LEGIT talent.NBA, who knows...but i think it's a fair assumption to say that if he continues to develop it's quite a possibility. He said he might go after this year. The chances of that are somewhere between zero and the chances of the Browns winning the super bowl next year. When he realizes that, he might choose to transfer to a higher-profile school to "get noticed".
  16. Well, we'll just have to recruit even better players, then.
  17. Introducing a ZN.O Stats Blog, with +/- and Help Value. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated!Yes! Thank you! This is something that no other MAC message board has.Hopefully this quiets the McNeese detractors out there. Once you get a good sample size going of a few games or more, patterns emerge and you can see who the most reliable overall players are.
  18. Tough, hard-fought game from both teams. Glad Akron was the one to win.The difference between the two teams is that, even though this was a close game, I thought that OU gave it everything they had but Akron could have done a lot more. It was a game almost exactly like this last year against Toledo that gave them the confidence to win the MAC tournament. Hopefully winning three close games in a row is allowing them to figure out who they are and what they're capable of.Zeke didn't have his best game, but you could see him altering shots on defense just by being there. Will someone who does the stats for GoZips.com do a +/- stat line? I overheard conversations about putting up content that people want to see, and this is the #1 thing I want to see right now. It's something you can't get from ESPN or any other "3rd party" media outlets.
  19. Now that Can't has lost, it's time for Akron to take care of their own business. Ohio started off slow in the MAC, but has done well against the MAC West to get back to a somewhat respectable record.OU games are always intense. Stopping DJ Cooper and neutralizing DeVaughn Washington will make things easier.Bobcats message board
  20. Akron wins 63-57. The crowd was rowdy and loud. The team gets a whole week off between games. They'll need every second of it to prepare for Bowling Green.
  21. Yesterday, the Zips had two more athletes make the NCAA provisional qualification mark. It's pretty neat to walk around campus and see so many people wearing all sorts of college gear. This thing has to be a great boost to the local economy. Several hundred athletes and their families from across the country staying in hotels and buying food. More out-of-town people are brought into the area for this event than any football or basketball game.
  22. A good result. Nothing in the MAC East is a given.Zips need to taske care of business.
  23. The Women's BBall team is playing in the second half of the double-header in Buffalo. They don't seem to respond well to larger hostile crowds as evidenced by Toledo and BG. However, they should get the win as Buffalo is pretty bad. Game starts at 3:00
  24. Buffalo seems to play up to better opponents, especially at home.Hopefully they can hold on.
  25. Sina King of Waterford HS has signed with the Zips. She's a 6'1" Small Forward.Scored 20 points and 19 rebounds to win league championship.
