How many organized road trips has True Blue done?Most of you were respectful during the senior night thing which is good, but shouting over our choir during the national anthem wasn't very classy. You guys brought lots of energy early but quieted down as the game wore on. My advice is to hold back a bit during the first half so you can really go all out in the second half. You were in unison for your cheers, and brought a little bit of creativity. Overall not bad.Maybe next year you could organize a trip to Can't. They're not very fond of visiting students.

Who gets all of Conyers' and C McKnight's PT?All of their playing time? Combined they play just 45 minutes per game thanks to KD's frantic substitution policy.Nikola is now officially listed as a forward on gozips.com. He'll see more playing time with Zeke and Bardo at C. If he averages just 25 minutes a game, that's more than half of the minutes opened up by graduation. The rest can go to the freshman that doesn't get redshirted.

It's a great way to see how you stack up against the very best of your peers. NE Ohio has some great high school soccer programs, and there are a lot of people who played for those programs but stopped playing when they went to college at Akron.

I only see one of the freshmen playing in their first year. The rest will redshirt. The real question is who transfers to make room? Or does Darryl Robers only have his scholarship for this year and he becomes a walk-on next year?

No there is a small reserved seating section behind the benches but it is not that big. It is such a high school gym.Alright. I wonder how easy it is to get into the student section. It will be nice when they finish building the Stroh Center.

Stating facts is not beating a dead horse.I for one will not give Brookhart any credit just like I gave Owens no credit for the MAC Championship. That was Brookhart's team. If Coach I wins next year, he should get the credit because it is his team and his ideas. Calling it some elses team diverts responsibility away from the new coach and is a tool to gloss over failure as a building process.Recruiting and coaching are two different things. So what if Brookhart recruited most of the team? Ianello would be the one to coach them, so he would deserve the credit.

Is anybody planning on making the trip to BG on Saturday? I know there was a change of plans that resulted in the student bus trip getting called off.

Nah. It's too difficult to try and take somebody's shirt.Instead, why not make the shirt something to be earned? Like having to sign in to three fall sporting events to get your shirt.

I believe that of we had even half of the "on paper" Rowdies at the basketball games, we wouldn't have lost to Austin Peay or to Rhode Island or to EMU. Those uninspired home games wouldn't happen because the students could push the team on.I think the point system started too late this year. The students need to show up for the early season games, and we can build a strong base from that. To suddenly expect them to show up for the MAC games when half the season is over means you've already lost the interest of lots of students. So here's an idea. Make attendance to 50% of the non-conference home games mandatory. If they don't show up and don't have an excuse, they lose the membership and are ineligible for rewards or road trips later in the season. They can regain membership by attending three MAC home games. It doesn't really do anything, but the idea that they'll be "kicked out" could be enough to get more of them to show up. It's just an idea.

The fact that the band cheers is exactly why they should move. There needs to be something to excite the crowd in the upper seats. It also lets the entire arena hear them instead of just the side they're facing.If they don't want to move, they need to at least stop growing. You don't need 10 trombones in a 25 person band.

We've tried the "points" system with some very awesome rewards for the most dedicated students. It's still just the same 100 people every time.Maybe the band needs to move. If we had that space we could fill it up. And it's not like they wouldn't have plenty of room up top.

The worst seems to be when they cover MAC games but never actually talk about the game in front of them. 75% of the time they're blabbering on about BCS conference standings or what's on next because they can't wait for what's on now to be over with. There's plenty of drama to be had in the MAC standings. It's a complete crapshoot, which provides intrigue because every game matters for every team. it's not like the BCS conferences where you know it's down to 2 or 3 teams before the season even gets started.

That game was on MSNBC in HD. And Emrick did a good job, much better than what I'm used to from TV sportscasters.

You may win at facebook. We do have more than 700 members, though. Of course, only about 50 to 100 of them ever show up to events. I think lots of them are just in it for the T-shirt.

No, no. It's a very good thing. I'm all for organizations like True Blue or the AK-Rowdies at every MAC school but Can't (their administration may have been scared away from creating one thanks to us). I hope they all travel, too. Keep us on our toes.

Is our schedule full or theirs?I have no doubt that VCU will be able to recruit kids who can play just as good as the ones they have now. Akron needs to step up the recruiting and find some more quality assistant coaches to compete.

I respectfully disagree. The athletic ability of this team is better than have seen in the KD era. From what I saw yesterday, I think there is a lack of cohesion with this team we have not seen in the past against better teams. Call it cohesion...call it rythm...call it what ever you want. I'm not sure if cohesion is even the right word, but is something intangible I can't exactly find a word for. Maybe someone out there could find a better word.I call it lack of leadership. Who is the floor general? Who do you see out there directing traffic and making sure teammates don't run into each other or are in position? McNeese is a SG that can handle the ball well, the McKnights do their thing but don't inspire others to play better, Conyers was a follower his whole time here and never had a chance to grow into a leader, Roberts has determination but doesn't steel the nerves of his teammates. Not a single upperclassman has stepped up and become the heart and soul of the team. Nobody rallies around them. The best leader we have on the team is Humpty but he's taken a back seat to McNeese.

They beat Cleveland State 7-0 today. Keep it going.

People want us to schedule tougher games. Would that have prepared us for this, or would it have simply resulted in more losses like this one? The team doesn't seem to progress from one game to the next. Can you say with some certainty that the team now is better than the team we saw at the beginning of the season?I would say to schedule more games against the upper A-10 or MVC teams if I thought the team could learn from their experiences at a faster rate than other teams. Every team learns a bit from every game and experience. Some "get it" faster than others, and those ones turn out to be the good teams. Others never get it and end up looking like they're regressing as the teams around them improve and put their past experience to good use.

We could have built a second press tower for Infocision Stadium with all those bricks.
