I think Akron's defense made them look average. They had one of the best passing offenses in the MAC.

The defense withstood a furious attack to take it to PKs. Props to GK Annabelle Hegeman who had seven saves.

What do you think the depth chart will look like when the season begins? My completely uninformed guess is: PG: Noah Robotham, Antino Jackson, Josh Williams SG: Aaron Jackson, Jimond Ivey, Josh Williams SF: Reggie McAdams, Jake Kretzer PF: Kwan Cheatham, Jake Kretzer? C: Pat Forsythe, Isaiah Johnson I don't know enough about the freshmen outside of Josh Williams to say whether they might see any playing time. There's definitely minutes available at PF. At SG, I see Aaron Jackson as the starter over Ivey based on size and experience. That might eventually change, as the season progresses.

That's the recipe that gave the university the nickname "hilltop high". It looks like public higher education will soon go tuition-free, and when that happens, admission standards become an absolute necessity, combined with a strong remedial education program partnership with local community colleges acting as feeders. -

FCS loses money at a faster rate than FBS, even with the reduced scholarships. There's no good reason to consider FCS when its primary appeal turns out to have the opposite effect. And you can't drop football to a lower division without taking all other sports with it: you can't have sports in multiple divisions (with a few grandfathered exceptions, mostly dealing with hockey).

Well, now that the paint is actually dry, I stopped by to check it out. Everything is painted dark blue. Even the fronts of the wooden bleachers. It looks amazing under game-day lighting. I like the decals on the steps. Good idea. Quick set of pictures from my phone:
