  1. Are you only counting certain sports? There was a great article on Brad Ruhaak on 10/15. And then there was this today.
  2. Johnson's been sacked 19 times already this season. That's another stat he leads in.
  3. Never bought into the CMU hype. They're too soft. Buffalo should be about 100 spots lower after their disaster of an offseason. Can't doesn't scare me. I think they just threw darts for most of their rankings.
  4. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25331040/cbs-sports-2015-16-ranking-of-every-college-basketball-team-from-1-351 85. Central Michigan: Going to be the best team in the MAC, most likely, in what's setting up to be one of the weaker MAC campaigns of the past decade. 97. Can't State: Rob Senderoff's group finished 12-6 last year in the MAC and returns All-league player Jimmy Hall. If they can replace three starters around him, they'll have a chance to compete for the league's crown. 126. Buffalo: The Bulls made the first NCAA Tournament in program history last season. Kind of surprising, right? Bobby Hurley made it happen. And he's gone, to Arizona State. The best player on the team/best player in the MAC, Justin Moss. He's gone, too. Booted from school. Comedown year (to say the least) for Buffalo. 133. Akron: The Zips have won 20 games 10 years in a row, and Keith Dambrot is a terrific coach. That's probably the baseline this season, as they return three seniors in Pat Forsythe, Reggie McAdams and Jake Kretzer to help them return to the top of the East. 182. Western Michigan: Tucker Hammond was very efficient. If he's able to play better on the boards, WMU will clearly see dividends. Connor Tava an important senior here. 183. Toledo: Could go either way here. We're splitting the difference. The Rockets lose their three most important players, in addition to sophomore Kurt Hall. Coaches in the league expect a decent squad, though. 211. Northern Illinois: Middle-of-the-road MAC club. Will not be as good a rebounding team because Jordan Threloff, maybe the best on the boards in the conference last season, graduated. 215. Ohio: Saul Phillips' program won 10 games last season, and losing Mo Ndour is a big-time blow. Freshman starter Ryan Taylor opted to transfer. Sort of a mystery team here. 260. Miami-Ohio: Lots of seniors here, and they return a majority of their contributors. They might be able to go slightly over .500 in the MAC if things broke right. 263. Eastern Michigan: Rob Murphy is a Jim Boeheim disciple and led his team to 21 wins last year. Could be a tougher road this year though, as he loses a lot from last year's team. 271. Ball State: Could surprise, but there is the possibility this team just falls on its face. Won just seven games last season. 284. Bowling Green: Expected by league coaches to be the worst team in the MAC. Chris Jans was fired in April after an embarrassing and inappropriate video of Jans with a woman at a bar -- who was rebuffing his behavior -- surfaced. Michael Huger was hired to replace Jans and has a long MAC history.
  5. BG's defense isn't any better than EMU's. The stats are just flipped between pass and run defense. Akron's front seven needs to get to Matt Johnson and make him miserable.
  6. Time to see if Chapman has improved?
  7. Bad teams beat themselves. You just have to make fewer mistakes.
  8. We haven't stopped their passing at all today.
  9. EMU gonna EMU. Botched kickoff return leads to a Woodson-Lane TD. 14-0 Zips!
  10. If we can score through the air, then I'm fine with it. Whatever works. Now that I think about it, EMU hasn't ever had to defend a passing attack this season. They might not be prepared for it, especially if they're going with 8 in the box.
  11. CMU doesn't look so scary today.
  12. Souto hits a PK to put Akron up 2-1. When your entire team plays in the box all game long, eventually an attacker will draw a foul.
  13. It's more that Buffalo's playing something like a 7-2-1
  14. Lot 1 never fills up, even for sellouts. I don't see the need for passes. Instead, They could reserve Lot 15 (behind Olin) in addition to the current reserved lots.
  15. Wyoming ran for 430 yards. Old Dominion ran for 229 yards. Ball State ran for 278 yards. It's not just from Army and LSU bowling them over.
  16. EMU's run defense is indescribably bad.
  17. Santa Clara is definitely tougher than their record shows.
  18. Did any of you actually watch the game? Both facemask penalties in the 1st half were complete BS. The bench penalty came after some choice words directed at the ref missing Wolf getting dragged around at the end.
  19. I can't wait to check back there after we embarrass them.
  20. I'm surprised that there's hardly any information out there about him at all, aside from the highlight video.
  21. I think it's because we painted the JAR.

  23. OU is uaually good for two or three personal foul penalties when playing Akron.
  24. Jalil Carter to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
