Our defense matches up great with their offensive strengths. No "air raid" this time. A lot of YSU's points came from big plays. A focus on the running game makes it less likely for Akron to get those types of plays unless we have a Dri Archer type player somewhere on the roster that can pop out of the backfield before the defense sees him. Using the run to set up the pass only works if you can actually pass the ball. Have the receivers improved? I didn't see anything to give me that impression. If the offense can put together some decent drives to keep the D fresh, and we get a few big plays or turnovers, we will win.
