The AK-Rowdies had better rush the court after the game and carry these two guys around on their shoulders. They deserve no less. I don't know if their numbers should be retired yet, because their careers at Akron aren't over yet. I think that if they have an incredible showing in March and get the MAC championship, that they should definately be honored. Winning a few games in the big Dance should get their numbers retired, but in order for them to do all that they must have the rest of the team contribute like never before.

We don't. We have the best road record in the MAC, but not the best MAC road record. That would belong to Toledo with a 4-2 MAC road record. We have a 3-2 MAC road record, but that could change tonight.

Playing at Buffalo would be awesome! If it happens, the University should try to get as many bus-loads of crazy fans there as possible.

I honestly don't care who we play. If we can get some more momentum going, the team should be unstoppable by tournament time. I already feel that no one in the MAC can beat us on a neutral/semi-neutral court like at "the Q". As long as we can that first-round bye, there should be nothing stopping us from winning it all.

So, I just received an e-mail asking to register for a bus trip to Cleveland to attend the MAC tournament games. I think we will go back and forth to Akron after each game. If you received the e-mail, you have to reply by 5:00 tomorrow or else it is too late. Tickets are free, and so is the bus ride. The way it was worded makes me beleive that it was sent to only AK-Rowdies who attended multiple games this season, so no bandwagoneers will get this deal, only the hard-core fans. Of course I said yes, so I will see all of you at the "Q" in March!

It's funny that they think they can affect the outcome of the game by filling up the arena and being loud. They should know that Miami's style of play negates home-court advantage for both Miami and their opponent. Winning at Miami would be a huge boost for the Zips. It is a huge game, and would essentially make it a two-team race in the East between Akron and Can't State.

Looking at the teams ahead of us, I think it is the highest we will get for the whole season.

Well, that is more people than we had voting for us last week. I think (and hope) that word will continue to spred about the Zips. The only thing the team can do is keep winning. We can also hope for a few of the teams aove us to lose a few games. That's about it. Unless someone wants to e-mail all of the AP guys that didn't vote for us and tell them about our 20 wins and, although I hate to do this, LeBron's connection to the team. Name recognition is everything with these guys.

19 votes, huh? Awesome. It's just too bad that we are still stuck in 40th place. Oh well, a win at Miami would certainly help us gain a little ground. Now, when does today's Mid-Major top 25 come out?Also, where do you find out who voted for us and at what spot they put us at?

The only one I know for sure is the game at Austin Peay. They are a good team, and we can beat them on the road, which means more than winning at home. Remember, they have no seniors on the team this year, so they can only get better.Also, I think we will play in a tournament to start off the season, like we did this year. Of course this year's tournament outing didn't go so well. Hopefully next year we can advance beyond the first round.
