  1. Thanks. My wife loved the line about Perry since we got his last name in it. We are running out of Carrie Underwood songs but we will probably do a basketball one but will probably wait until next year since we are expecting our first little one in February and are trying to prepare for that.
  2. Also clear your schedules for: NCAA 2nd round - Sunday November 21 at 4pm NCAA 3rd round - Sunday November 28 at 4pm NCAA Quarterfinal - Saturday December 4 at 4 pm
  3. Their website has "Exhibition" next to the Akron game. http://www.millikin.edu/sites/athletics/mb...es/default.aspx
  4. It should be here. http://livestats.hartwick.edu/ Just have to click on men's soccer.
  5. OU's exhibition contest starting shortly with Walsh has a free webcast if anyone wants to do some advance scouting. I think Walsh will give them a game similar to what we got 2 years ago. http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/ohio.portal#
  6. Free webcast. http://www.horizonleaguenetwork.tv/live/1271
  7. For anyone that is a glutton for punishment, the game is on channelsurfing.net
  8. You are correct in finding all the hidden messages we put into the song.
  9. In our second installment of Akron athletic songs (football last year) my wife and I rewrote the lyrics of Carrie Underwoods Cowboy Casanova for this years soccer team. Take a listen and let me know what you think. http://zipsnation.org/images/zippycasfinal.mp3 Lyrics below: You better take it from me, Zips D is like a disease You’re running, you’re tired, you’re trying to hide And you’re wondering why you can’t get free With Korb and Chad giving a tug Zarek is sticking like a glove Even if you get lucky to get behind them you can't sneak it by David's clutch Chorus: They are Ak-ron Zippy Casanovas, under Coach Caleb they can't be beat The Rowdies heckling the opponents and putting them through misery Darlington showing his speed, his skill and precision feet, while Jamaica's Mattocks brings on the heat Kicking the ACC teams to the street College Cup Champs Zips will be. Swift Kofi scores in a blink and gives the crowd a quick wink Freshman Perry is throwing ev'rything at the opposition including the kitchen sink Nanchoff holding the midfield; no goals will Akron's Zips yield Ampai and his mohawk getting into the box and so now for the Zips this shutout is sealed Chorus: They are Ak-ron Zippy Casanovas, under Coach Caleb they can't be beat The Rowdies heckling the opponents and putting them through misery Darlington showing his speed, his skill and precision feet, while Jamaica's Mattocks brings on the heat Kicking the ACC teams to the street College Cup Champs Zips will be. Speas will control midfield whatever the bind Caldwell's assist will score for gold and blue Lee Jackson Field will be a rocking good time And all will Fear the Roo Chorus: They are Ak-ron Zippy Casanovas, under Coach Caleb they can't be beat The Rowdies heckling the opponents and putting them through misery Darlington showing his speed, his skill and precision feet, while Jamaica's Mattocks brings on the heat Kicking the ACC teams to the street College Cup Champs Zips will be. College Cup Champs the Zips will be. College Cup Champs the Zips will be.
  10. We are the only ones with the "x" http://espn.go.com/college-football/standings
  11. Zips answer shortly after to tie at 1. Goal Nagbe.
  12. Blown offsides call leads to Penn State 1-0 lead.
  13. There's no crazy NCAA rule that if you don't play in your actual jerseys you have to forfeit the game after the fact is there? I wouldn't doubt it.
  14. From Sandon's post I wonder -- is the Hermann restricted to US-born or US citizen players? I don't think a non-American has won, but haven't heard it specified before. Isn't Teal from Canada?
  15. Ianello should have reviewed the fumble in the end zone. Nicely recovered it for a safety and tried to roll it out of the endzone to the one and Can't recovered. If it was a safety it's still a 1 possession game. What was Nicely thinking?
  16. Also Dylan Kaufman from Hiland high school in Holmes county.
  17. Timken's Jehvon Clarke committed to Bowling Green. http://www.cantonrep.com/sports/x145913925...r-Bowling-Green
  18. I'm guessing he was talking about men's basketball with practice starting soon.
  19. One thing to remember is that of the 4700+ tonight, approximately 2000 of them were students who didn't need to buy a ticket to get in. Plus I don't know if they were expecting for fireworks 6 times tonight (once at the start, 4 goals, once at the end). Anyways great to see such a great crowd. Next friday is at 5:30 so it might be a late arriving one with people just getting off work.
  20. Good discussion here. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1548799
  21. http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/soccer...ek-in-soccer-12 COLLEGE: We’re excited about Friday night’s game on Fox Soccer. No. 1 Akron is a joy to watch, and No. 3 Tulsa is really, really good, too. Men’s soccer might be the best college sport for those tired of seeing nothing but BCS schools all the time. But if you like BCS schools, the women’s game on ESPNU will work.
  22. I doubt anyway wants to sell them but I was just wondering if anyone has any reserved soccer tickets for fridays game against Tulsa? I have a couple buddies from work who are interested in coming and am trying to get them tickets to sit as close to my wife and I as possible. If not I will just have to get them GA seats and tell them to come early.
  23. If they can keep this up. We might draw more than 10,000 for some of our upcoming home games.
  24. Johnnyzip do you have Massillon Cable? Turn it to 31, even though the programming says it isn't on, it is.
