2004 B.S. in Accounting and my wife is a 2005 B.S. in Accounting. I worked myself through school, commuted, didn't have much free time and never went to a single bball, soccer or football game while I was attending here. After I graduated something just clicked and I really started following them. I guess I could be considered an ex-athlete (although I selected Alum). I was on the golf team at Wayne College the first year they had to have it because of Title 9 (they had Womens volleyball and basketball and only men's basketball at the time).

This is the key. If he had to sit out a year I don't think he would do it. If he can transfer without sitting out a year since he got his degree (not sure of the exact rules around this) I could see why he might do it. I would much rather him stay. I don't think you will get that much better exposure at a lower tier power 6 school than he can get at Akron. Just perform on the field and at the combine and the scouts will find you.

Top 50 MAC players from the past 20 years Thoughts? DJ Cooper at #50 while Xavier Silas is #29, I think those could be reversed.

Per his coach in Sundays paper Link "Adam is also starting to get some interest from some Div. I schools," Harbour said. "Toledo and Youngstown State were in this week to talk." Someone needs to tell him YSU is not Div. 1.

At halftime, the studio announcers said he was the best player no one heard of before this weekend. They said, MAC schools should be all over him now, whether they have a coach or not (I think they meant us ) . I think as a D1 player it wouldn't be quarterback though.

Has anyone seen any of the games this weekend and have seen any players you would like to see in a Zips uniform? Watching the Kenton/Norwayne D4 game right now and my brethren from Wayne County is upstaging (21-14 at half after a Kenton hail mary) Mr. Ohio, Beny Mauk. I like seeing #45 as a quarterback on Norwayne, not a number you usually see. I don't know if he has any D1 offers but I think he could play as an OLB or strong safety in the MAC. Great football instincts.

If someone wants to drive up to Berea tonight, they could ask Tressels brother at the Kiwanis board meeting tonight if he has any inside information . Kiwanis Dave is the President of the organization and I assume will be in attendance.

I just got back from the ticket office to get tickets for the Detroit game for my dad and nephew. I was the first person today not to get the "Lebron" tickets. Floor seats are sold out but they still had GA, upper and lower reserved left. 1 girl working the counter and 3 guys in the back doing nothing.

How do they determine the site of the game if we play Charlotte....what is it based on? I would think if they do the bracket like other sports it would be at Charlotte. Charlotte hosted a first round game just like Akron. Akron is playing the #6 seed and Charlotte the #11 and normally the "better" seed would play the "worse" team which would mean Akron would be seeded worse than Charlotte. I could be wrong since they only truely seed 16 seeds but thats how most other sports would work.

And their style is death by 1,000 passes. Where have I heard that about a college team before

Since we are 2 days away and no thread has started yet I figured I would get it going. Mississippi State struggled a bit in the first half only leading Eastern Kentucky 33-27. I could not say it any better.Is F/11/11/2011 really @ 5:00 pm for the top-seeded match?Last year was 5:00 as well. Maybe they figure people could go to the soccer game before heading to watch some high school football playoffs? Other than getting out of work in time to make it to the game. I second that it was a very nice event. We will be back next year. It was great to be able to talk with both the players and coaches. Plus, my little kangaroo won me free Papa Johns pizza for a year.
