  2. Interesting article, thanks for posting.
  3. I watched the game and listened to French. Steve puts gas on the fire that is 'ZN ref whining' He also complained about the delay of game warning on us, that clearly should have been. PS Last shot was #10 on ESPN's Top Ten today.
  4. Post game radio: (KD) blaming it on missed free throws, bad fouls, bad calls, too many minutes by players, big guys turning it over. It is what it is. This is the type of team we are. We are going to play tight games. Ken+s a good team, we'll probably play them three times and win the third one when it counts. I have listened to tons of KD post game interviews and enjoyed. I usually agree with 90 percent of what he says. His attitude was a little too ho hum for me tonight. Maybe I'm reading it wrong since I'm mad we lost and I expected him to be. He mentioned he can't get too high and too low as a coach. French does a nice job handling those post game interviews. PS Big Dog wasn't available tonight.
  5. Why did we wait until 2 minutes left to start running some offense? Play the whole game like you did the last two minutes, and you win that game by 20.
  6. A lot of the "Nation" is at the game...worth the gas $ just so you don't have to listen to Reghi! Ken+ is so bad defending, we should never have to take a shot outside the paint. Work it! Edit 1: 22 points in a half? Come on. Attack the RIM!!! Edit 2: All five guys standing outside the three point line dribbling looking at each other. Whatever page that is in the offensive playbook, rip it out and leave it in Portage County. Edit 3: 1:51 timeout, one of the better drawn up plays (KD with the marker n board) I saw from the Zips in awhile. Foul called. Edit 3: 0:41 timeout, play goes to Tree near rim, can't argue that play.
  7. Maybe try clearing your cache, and or cookies. PS I realize you might not have Windows 8.1, but I'm guessing the setting options are the same. I'm only guessing because I don't use the windows operating system.
  8. Drives me nutz to watch other mac teams run simple pick n roll plays for easy shots...and a great student section. (insert jealous emoticon thinking bigger here).
  9. Ken+ a point and a half favorite according to yahoo odds. Edit: Yahoo, now reads Zips favored by two. I must have originally misread.
  10. I am able to sign in on IE 11 (11.0.9600.16476) Let us know if updating your browser works Hip.
  11. Didn't a teammate of his even tweet about?
  12. So who wants to start guessing what MAC team he will eventually end up with?
  13. Dan's son, Danny, is on the Arizona coaching staff. Twitter action 4PetesSake
  14. Support for coach Peters Tonight The first 3,000 fans will get a purple T-shirt with '4 Pete's Sake' on it in support of coach Dan Peters. Zips are a 14 point favorite. EA of the PD writes about UA Coach Keith Dambrot's Zips are already playing at a relatively high level, every night, and like Can't State have made some lineup changes with Carmelo Betancourt at point guard, Jake Kretzer at forward, Quincy Diggs now starting at guard, Nick Harney at forward and Demetrius Treadwell at center. This lineup has produced two straight road wins. Overall, while Toledo gets the MAC spotlight courtesy of its victory at Akron, the Zips are in better shape to win or share a third MAC title. Akron already has four MAC road wins, including at Ohio University and at Eastern Michigan. UT has only played two MAC road games to date, and split those. After the Zips play at Can't State, 6 p.m. Saturday, they will only have four MAC road games remaining with a Feb. 19 game at Buffalo being the most daunting. UT still has seven MAC road games, including at OU, at Eastern and at rival Bowling Green. As Treadwell said after a Tuesday practice, "I like where we are right now, and where we'll be by the end of the season."
  15. Well said.
  16. We have been expieriencing on and off hosting issues. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  17. More fun, from Sports Illustrated: I knew I liked Richard. Smart shot.
  18. Have you seen NHL or NBA ticket prices lately? I can't justify buying a ticket to watch the Pens, even if I could get one. Sellout Streak Over 300 PS I was a little surprised by the amount of NY/Bos/LA fans making up the 14%. This will continue to decline if that league doesn't change.
  19. I feel the same. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a situation where he is not replaced and someone is given more responsibility. Reminds me of this thread. I was just happy to get a GA. PS I wonder if JT is even aware of the situation? I hope the answer is yes.
  20. Thought some may like this, since most will play at a SB party.
  21. EA of the PD As for Akron (13-6, 5-1), one week ago there was angst over its double-digit loss to the Toledo Rockets. But the Zips rebounded with a pair of road wins -- four road wins overall in league play -- which is something no other league team has. While UT has the tiebreaker edge over the Zips right now, the Rockets have yet to play at Ohio University or at Eastern Michigan, two tough spots where Akron already has road wins. A lineup change for Akron with Quincy Diggs, Jake Kretzer, Nick Harney and Carmelo Betancourt now starting, seems to have settled the Zips, somewhat, even as turnovers and free throw shooting remain an issue. But the Zips play five of their final seven at home, putting pressure on Toledo not to stumble on the road, and hand the MAC lead back to Akron.
  22. "Wholesale lineup changes with a lean toward UA’s best players contributed to that win" GT Article If you called for changes, add 1 to your total, if you thought we needed to stay with the same starters, subtract one.
  23. Correct. The Pittsburgh sports media is very interested in how many people are actually at an event (Steelers/Pens/Bucks). The media also does a great job following tv ratings for sporting events, and where Pittsburgh, and other cities, rate in the market. I remember reading that Pittsburgh was the city with the highest TV rating for the Winter Classic. That surprised me a little. Attendance example Another note: Rooney is discussing lowering preseason ticket prices, and raising premier games (Ravens). Like they do in college football already. I would guess this catches on throughout the $nfl$.
