Seems like no amount of drama that happened in Columbus could have prevented that beat down as much as us fans had hoped it would. I hope before I die, we can beat them chumps without any drama.

I can't answer for KD, I'm sure someone else here will try, but I have heard him say on a post game show last year, we are not good enough for a tough schedule yet. It seems like we are ready for a tougher schedule to me. Personally I think it benefits this team to play a tougher schedule. Maybe we are a year behind due to scheduling ahead of time. Maybe we will see a change next year, hopefully. We see enough cupcakes during mac play.

Nice list. Can I add?7. Game planning. Simply, we need to find what Temple's weakness is on defense and attack that with our play calling. This is not rocket science, but I need to see this to feel better about our offense. I think it was GP1 that brought up how nice it is not to complain about the gimmicky 3-3-5. I totally agree. I'm so gun shy to criticize anything defensively because we are playing the 4-3 now. I'll get to watch "units" better being at the game, the one unit I am excited to watch is the secondary. I believe they have improved from last season, but I need to evaluate from the game. It's too hard to judge from tv. I will also be watching to see what routes are run on offense to have a better understanding if the QB is being handcuffed, or is not making reads.

Now I'm mad, I hope we kill Temple! I forgot they are Flyer fans.

I like your positive outlook g-man. I hope I can get on board with your line of thinking. Unfortunately the only thing I have to make an educated opinion on, is what I see on the field. Like I said this week, even in that beat down in Columbus, I saw some improvements. I hope to see more this week. I'll be there.

If OSU runs the same offense as us (according to an above post), can we run the underneath crossing pass routes that they run? They were very successful underneath. I don't remember us running any of that. Maybe the QB never took that option. I actually think our secondary looked good at times on the down field coverage stuff.

Nice article. You guys are not taking in to consideration the bonus that Hyde gets for his 100 yards. I thought it was a stupid comment by whoever (Myer I think) said "it would be nice to get Hyde 100 yards" I really bet the fact that he didn't get it, cripples his career in Columbus. That extra 7 yards would have really been something for him and his offensive line. You are also not considering the people that bet the over, because I think Fickell's uncle did. ;-)

It took us 5 threads about uniforms, but I think we finally have a winner. Nice work whoever did it. Next we should come up with an offensive playbook that can win us some games to with the uniforms.

If the Zips get run out of the stadium Saturday, and it could very well happen, they won't win more than three games this season. I'll keep an open mind on the rest of the season until Sunday and then we can all start talking about some hard predictions for the season. GP....this could certainly be where we are headed. But the BIG QUESTION will be........Do we regard that as "progress", or will we still feel as if we are failing just as equally as we were if we had only won a game or two? I already see progress from last year, even in that Columbus blowout. BUT what is our ceiling with this offense? Can we ever win the mac running this predictable offense? I sure hope LR8 looks better this Saturday, I know a lot of posters were happy about the switch at QB, I was holding my breath and hoping. Like everybody is writing, Saturday will tell us what kind of season we are in for. At the very least, I feel like I am in for a nice financial season predicting the outcomes of each game. I'm off to a good start.

I agree. I was originally planning a Cincy trip, but after I saw that Cincy score yesterday, I would rather dig stumps out of my back yard and listen to French tell the tale. I'll add this, the style of offense that we ran yesterday would have worked if we were the better team. We are not, we have to use some game day planning to help our team be successful.

I think Columbus was bigger, faster, more talented. They also executed plays better on Saturday.

Columbus is dominating both sides of the line. Story of the game. I could have QB'ed today for Columbus.

Bad use of time outs by Fickell, or Finkel. Good to see other first time coaches making dumb mistakes. Too bad we can't get a receiver open to make him pay, although 15 seems like he doesn't need to be open to come down with the ball. I'll try to be positive...our special teams look better this year. So far my favorite comment of the game, "since all scoring plays are reviewed in the NFL, Tressel won't have much to do on Sundays"
