  1. I may have been about 11th in line. There might have been a few ahead of me that I would push.
  2. Best hire I have seen in a while. Good luck George!
  3. Got to watch the interview this weekend. Very good. Akron gets mentioned many times. LBJ did a great job, he gives good answers and is easy to interview, Larry didn't mess it up. My only problem with it, was the amount of times LBJ started his answer with "Absolutely" Try getting a tape of it and play the Absolutely Drinking Game on a Friday night.
  4. I always thought Lee & JD did a good job at the previous summer golf outings. Great time for the coaches to unwind, meet fans and have a good time. It's a shame this was not picked up this year, I hope that it will be back on the schedule next year. Unless CK starts to run a more successful one. I voted "y-e-s." I hope that Z-P decides to dust off his perssimon woods and come out.
  5. Wednesday game against Miami is 6 pm or 8 pm according to our schedule. Indiana game at 7 pm and on Big Ten Network.
  6. I think they are stating the obvious. All this could be true, and we could still have a good 2010 campaign. Hopefully iCoach improves as the team does. When I read that headline, I was REALLY scared to click on that link.
  7. CC I understand. Cliff Lee was signed for another year, no need to trade at that time, if you couldn't resign him you could have traded him at the deadline this year for as much if not more. The organization was looking to save money by sacrificing wins. I'm not interested in investing my time/money into that line of organizational management.
  8. Your right. The sky has fallen. The Cliff Lee trade was the final straw for me. That indicated to me that the Indians organization was not serious about winning a world series anytime soon. So I am not willing to be a fan anytime soon. It made me lose interest in MLB and gain more interest in NHL, NBA and NASCAR. Baseball used to be my second favorite sport, now it's not even on my radar. I'll probably catch an Aeros game or two this summer and a Pirates game, but that's it. Like I said, wake me up after the strike. PS If you think Choo plans on being in Cleveland long term, read this. Choo hired Scott Boras this year and Scott's favorite thing is to get his client to the free agent market. Choo has already turned down an extension.
  9. With those two web sites, that's barely "official." One sentence
  10. I double dog dare you to sit and watch nine innings of an Indians game. Come back and post after. I'm a Pirates fan. I could watch an Indians game standing on my head. It's all about conditioning and 15+ years of watching the Pirates has me in the best "watching bad baseball shape" I have ever been in. I fart in the general direction of this challenge. Get a tape of last nights game and watch it. It took the opposing pitcher 88 pitches to retire 9 innings of Indians batters. You'll get a real good idea of the type of "major league" talent that is on the team from top to bottom. You do have some conditioning being a Pirates fan, they are almost as bad as the Indians. If you have watched 3 full Pirates games this year I would be shocked! MLB is a joke. Wake me up after the strike.
  11. It's the MAC, if OU can do it, why can't we?
  12. I have it set to record on my DVR. I'm interested. "...these fans, I mean, has given me a lot..." --LBJ
  13. I agree, I hear them reference "Akron" many times on sports channels when they refer to LBJ's hometown. How many times have you heard LBJ say "I want to put Akron on the map"
  14. I double dog dare you to sit and watch nine innings of an Indians game. Come back and post after. Do the Cavs get Kobe?
  15. I hope somebody is smart enough to print out magnet (football) schedules to hand out to everybody. Maybe they will have the kickoff times by then.
  16. I understand you, I'm with you as long as any of those guys didn't actually graduate from OSU...but that statement is just sad. You must be a Cavs/Indians/Browns/Zips fan, if you are, I'm sorry.
  17. Columbus State just announced their start times. We can't be too far behind can we?
  18. I hear LeBron is going to coach the Cavs. I don't see why not, like the article says, "Basketball isn't as complex as some make it seem!?!?"
  19. ZW, you should submit your photo for the front cover of the 2010 media guide.
  20. I wonder how many more times this is going to change in Info's life span? It was hard enough directing all of your friends to a new lot last year, now we have to do the same thing again this year. Everybody (20 or so people) has to try to get a parking pass for the same lot, which we weren't even able to do last year and I'm positive it won't happen again this year. People had to park and walk their coolers and kids to our lot. Now we have to go through the same unfamiliar searching again. If this was the last time I had to do this for the next 15 years...okay, but something tells me it's not. We always talk about building traditions in Zips sports here at ZN, we can't even get continuity in parking for tailgating from one year to the next. No wonder people just stay home and watch Columbus State on tv. Like I said, I'll change again this year, but you can only punch me in the face so many times before I quit answering the bell. I'll be sure to come back and post how things are going after 3 home games. I was concerned about the tailgating when moving from the Rubber Bowl to the Info and everything worked out, maybe that's why this additional move is upsetting me. Oh well, it's never been easy being a Zips fan, I guess it ain't changing anytime soon.
  21. Here is your punch in the gut, I mean link Thanks for being a fan
  22. Luckily I can take a look into my crystal ball at Lot 9 on the second home game of 2010 to see how successful this idea will be, let's have a look... Football is the most unique fan experience in sports. One of the biggest reasons are the pregame tailgating, and the postgame tailgating, somebody is dropping the ball....AGAIN.
  23. Fortunately for us, I think this is one of the easiest things to fix. I hope it is addressed.
  24. So click on "disagree" like I did and move on. (BTW I did not need to refer to the bible to make my decision)
