  2. Thanks for posting. I'll have to see that in person. Is that permanent? How long has that been there? Was it going to be an Turf LBJ and they changed it last night? Would it look more like Zippy if all the grass turned brown?
  3. He sure put Akron on the map last night didn't he? This couldn't have turned out any worse for Akron if you ask me. I think it was Andy Baskin last night that made a good analogy. Remember how you (LeBron) felt when KD deserted you in high school? Now the shoe is on the other foot. Embarrassing. ZipsWin was right all along. I didn't see any of this coming. It seemed to me like LeBron always made the right decision. I don't even think when he announced last night, HE thought he made the right decision. The biggest decision of his life, and he "changes his mind from day to day?" Crazy. Should have slept on it until it felt right for a week, not 11 hours. KD was interviewed last night on channel 8 (I think) he said something like "I'm an Akron-man, I'm disappointed he didn't stay" Nothing to harsh, but you could hear the pain in his voice over the phone.
  4. Brad Sellers was awesome tonight. I flicked back and forth most of the night, channel 5 wins for professionalism. Channel 19 wins for most junior high comments ever. They made me laugh, I can't get over how dumb they looked. This announcement reminds me of 2000 presidential elections of Gore/Bush.
  5. I agree. Unbelievable. This night has been one of the most compelling sports nights ever.
  6. Welcome
  7. Check this out. I like what read on his page.
  8. I'm not sure why. One of the greatest things about being an American is freedom of choice. If you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. Plenty of other options. It's like the guy that hates Rush Limbaugh or Howard Stern, but listens to him every day and complains how much they hate him. I've been telling you for years that ESPN has "jumped the shark" Why would this event cause shame? Millions of people watch numbsculls "sing" on American idol and then vote (more than a presidential election), that's a true "national disgrace." I like the term LeBronukkah.
  9. This one was the style I would like to see some running backs have this year. 38 carries, THAT's how you control a game! PS The best single game performance I have seen in person by a Zip has to go to Dwight Smith against Ken+, I have never seen a DB win a game for a team the way he did that day. There are a few seconds on my list but all those guys get a chance to touch the ball a lot and any mention would diminish Dwight's efforts that day. Good luck Brett.
  10. I don't think so.
  11. I'm still not convinced he is not staying in Cleveland. I think he may be playing people. Isn't he a big practical joker? Would this be a good one? I could understand Chicago, but don't get NY or Miami from previous quotes from LBJ. Decoy, or real?
  12. I often wonder what things you decide not to post. Security Tight Around LBJ's Home
  13. He signs with Cleveland, everybody forgives him. Don't post, "not me" because you are in the minority. He hasn't killed anybody.
  14. Excellent article.
  15. Let me tell you how it's worse. You could be a fan of Roethlisberger. So LeBron has a big ego, big deal.
  16. "that would be a public relations disaster..."
  17. The Cleveland Cavaliers played heavily on the "home" theme when they made their presentation to LeBron James over the wekeend. And now they are sharing part of their presentation. The team's home page includes this video, which it showed to James on Saturday. The Cavs' video production team has won a local Emmy for its game presentation video, and this one is just as well done -- especially to sentimental Clevelanders. In the video, the "home" theme is hit hard, with appeals coming from fans and followers. Cavs try to represent Akron in their video. Good job?
  18. Buffalo beat them 40-3 last year dominating both lines of scrimmage racking up 508 yards of total offense and rushing for 250. I would guess with the pro-style offense we are going to run left, run right, run middle and repeat. Hopefully AA has 200+ rushing.
  19. Great job, thanks for taking the time to post.
  20. Sounds interesting to me, one of the few things I enjoyed on tv in the last year was on History Channel. Four modern day explorers take the same route through Africa as Stanley may have followed to find Livingstone. They did it in 30 days. I forget what it was called. Maybe Expedition Africa. I still have your last suggestion to read. Plan on doing so at the end of this month when I take a mini vaca to Long Island.
  21. Still open. If I'm ever near there at lunchtime, I still stop.
  22. Lebron continually says he wants to put Akron on the map. U is looking for a new basketball facility. U is short on funds. LBJ is a potential billionaire. Helping to construct a new facility with his name on it seems to solve a lot. There has to be a way that a new facility can benefit both parties. I would think Akron basketball would get serious talent and recognition if LBJ's name was on that new facility. Maybe a little selfish of me, but that's what I would like even if he does play for the Knicks.
  23. Good to see a nice post about the ticket office, it has been a struggle to get this far. Hope you enjoy the game and atmosphere.
  24. Wasn't that the Mariners battle cry in 1995?
