  1. Yes, it don't mean a thing unless you win that ring! Winners win, losers lose.
  2. Hip you might let Tom Wistrcill help you out. He seems helpful and accessible Click here for ASK THE AD
  3. So does Akron.
  4. I like him, entertaining. I wish Akron would work in a student into their radio broadcast. When I was young, my dad used to listen to OSU football games on the radio, I remember telling him, these announcers blow, they don't give you any useful information, but I like the sideline reporterhe really seems to know his stuff and gives you good info...it was Herbstreit. I'm not comparing the two, but you have to start somewhere and I like ken+ giving him a chance. I would rather listen to this kid nervously stumble his way trying to give you something than a polished guy tellingme the two teams are "trying to heat it up and melt the snow here"I always thought Bernie was the most entertaining Browns announcer too, give him some pain pills and a mic, pure gold to me.
  5. I'm using this line at some point of my life before the end of March.
  6. Agreed. I think both, part genius, part thief. But playing the system under the rules of the system. Just like the Yankees do. Don't hate the playa. I don't even care if they win a championship, more than anything, I want LBJ to stay in the area. But I gotta think the championship comes now.
  7. I wonder if Danny Ferry voted?
  8. That was AWESOME!How easy is this (Q&A) for a BJ writer to do with 5 players from our current team? Run them every Friday for 5 straight weeks before the season starts. It's a great way for the reader to learn a lot about players on the team. The reader starts to care about the player, and follows the team. Rasor did something like this in video format and I enjoyed it.
  9. Stat of the game: 0-15 for MUPlay of the game: Off the late time out, Humpty cutting to the hoop for the layup. Post game interview Steve says what a great play you drew up there coach. KD says, that's not how we drew it up, Humpty improvised. Most disappointing: Game not being on channelsurffing site. I really wanted to watch that game. I can't evaluate the game very well from listening on the radio. You can only look at the box score and make uneducated guesses while relying on what the announcers choose to tell you. Joe Dunn made it a point to say "Humpty is playing the point" when #4 was in the game. Steve ignored the comment and continued describing the play. I wonder how many minutes were played like that?Comment of the game: KD "our fans would complain about that" referring to Steve's joke of playing the Jewish center.Best chance for a graphic re-occurance: McNight-mare On Carroll StreetMost vanilla article on the game: Today's PD article. I've seen the PD cover NHL hockey games better!?!Charlie Hustle: Again, hard to judge just by listening to the game, but sounds like Cvetinovic saved multiple possessions with hard play.Result: Any win on the road in the MAC is a good one, so it looks like we are a lock for a buy in the tournamentFocus: March 5 is going to be a very important game for momentum in the tournament.
  10. Good article.I'm not sure I understand this: Is the writer suggesting we didn't deserve to be there, or we "stole" Buffalo's chance?
  11. Tell the pastor the good news....youtube.com. It took me over 2 and a half hours to get to the Bosley interview. Save yourself the time. Jamie tells his story to try to validate the pastor's message that you are in the "wilderness" unless you do what he says. Here is Jamie's story in a nutshell: Is the pastor really this guy?
  12. Now your starting to get it. What you are describing is called a point guard. I don't think anybody personally dislikes McNees, most long time fans on this board feel that our team is better if Steve is not at the point. The skills you describe are mostly inherent. I think you can coach some players for 10 years and they aren't going to become the ball handler, passer, court vision, leader needed at the point. Steve is better helping our team with his spot up shooting. Why is he at the point? It's not his fault he is the best option (very debatable). It's the coaching staffs fault for not having a better option. I'll give a small pass due to Ronnie's early injury problems. If I'm defending the Zips, I pressure the ball every single time he crosses mid court with the ball.
  13. I wish that site included the DDDJUAT ratio/percentage.
  14. From the same site. Go-to guy, Brett McKnight 8th in the nation in percentage of shots taken?!? Role player McNeese is 498 in the nation in effective field goal percentage?!? Weird site.
  15. 15,641 saw game go down to the last minute in 200029,621 saw Frye score 17 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Herd by 3Former rivals.Leftwich being carried down the field.Their fans travel well.I always had fun at Marshall games...and love to hate them.
  16. Great info guys (Hill & GZ), thanks for posting. Home & Home with Marshall. Recruiting a point guard. PS Steve French on his TV show "my big toe has a better chance of coaching Ohio State than Jim Tressel does"Steve is a great guy, don't take everything he says as "fact"
  17. +1Even though we scored 20 more than them (the most important part), we struggled at the top of our offense against them in January, I would expect more of the same if nothing changes in the rotation.Interesting quote from Charlie after the last game: "I think they are well coached to get nine or ten players to play like he gets them to play. Let's face it, Chris McKnight on a lot of teams would be playing thirty minutes. If he was on my team he would never be taken out."
  18. Are you suggesting that Steve has a future as a professional point guard on this team?
  19. I'll never forget that play as long as I live. I'm impressed you remember X's ranking. McNeese makes me nutz at the point, only reading rationalizing stats makes me more nutz. I wish we had a point guard. Can we PLEASE get one of those next year.
  20. I'm hoping Torrence is taught how to carry the ball so he doesn't fumble. I bet he could accomplish more by learning that because the talent is there.
  21. Something tells me you'll get to see it again this year. I'm glad it is back at CR, I thought they did a pretty good job last year.
  22. Good stuff. I am VERY interested where coach Ferri ends up. Like GP1, I would love to here what the final "outcome" was with his situation here at Akron.
  23. Who thought Zeke would contribute this year and who didn't (October edition)
  24. You can view ZN without logging on.
  25. I'm not sure that will fit on my sign.
