  1. I like how Tom says to "come early and stay late" Seems like a guy that understands what the fans want.
  2. Don't do a Micheal Jackson tribute and I promise I won't complain. So far I like Akron's band better than Penn State's band. I liked the "A"
  3. +1 Didn't we just build a nice stadium on campus???? And skip is right, Columbus State fans would show up. I don't want them at a Zips game. Stay away. We want to build a fan base of Zips fans starting with our students, IMO we do that every time we have a game at The Info. Get as many games there as you can. In five or six years we will have triple the alumni at the games. That's where it's at!
  4. It was a mixture of both. I paid for a season pass there. I got there just before noon and the party was jumpin'If I had to give somebody $5, I'm not sure who I would give it to?!? I'm only guessing, but I think some parked for free. Can anybody verify? Maybe it was just because it was the first week?
  5. They will impress me if I see photos from Central, Buffalo, Syracuse, Northern, and BG.
  6. Anyone?I don't see the purpose of going on game day. Maybe if it is raining. I planned on going downtown (Whiskey Dicks) before joining a tailgate party just to check it out and see if there was any "buzz". The minute I arrived on campus and saw how much tailgating was going on I changed my mind, parked my car and started tailgating. I was hoping that tailgating was going to be as fun as the Rubber Bowl, I now think it might be better! Seems like a lot of new people are into it on campus.
  7. So true.-------------JD's line since spring has been "Rodgers is going to play" I have translated that as he is going to come into games as he has been doing. I like the change of pace until he comes in and fumbles or gets picked looking at one receiver. I have yet to see him look at a second receiver and throw it to him. Maybe it's just due to lack of experience. We will see. I would guess that if Rodgers started a game right now the offense would get very predictable, that's why I am for using him as a change of pace.
  8. Thanks for taking the time to post the photo.I ran into a student Saturday that pulled his wrist band off the minute he got it and put a dab of hot glue on it to put it back on game day.
  9. Lot 73 was full. Plenty of parting going on. IMO, it could use a $99 sign that says "LOT 73" It is grass BTW.I only guessed where it was (just down Brown St past the gas station at the corner). 2 minute walk to the Info.
  10. Just in my time at the University we have had two kickers sign contracts with NFL teams. It isn't THAT hard!?!?
  11. I disagree, I thought he was somewhat effective in the limited action he saw. Don't judge him on stats alone. I saw him double teamed twice where the linebackers were able to come up and make the tackle. It's not like he is taking time away from a stud DL. He rotated in on a handful of plays, if he can do that and be effective, I am all for it. Better test against IU this week though.
  12. I pay 4.95 extra to have the cable company block any Columbus State games.
  13. Anybody take a photo of the 'Rowdies on The Rise'? I took one with my crappy phone, but I hope someone has a better one, if not, I will post my sub par photo.
  14. Hard to judge with Morgan State. They stink. I think the Offensive line needs to start to focus. They are underachieving IMO. Our most effective runs come from Martin because he was able to make the first defensive guy that got penetration miss. Should Morgan State get as much penetration as they did?!?!I like having the option of putting in a running QB. Rodgers needs to work on his passing though if he wants to see the field more, but I like putting him in for a change of pace. Gives the opposing defense something to think about. I would spy him until he proves he can throw down field. He needs to work on his progressions.I'm going to keep my eyes on Wagner next week. 9 tackles and a pick 6, nice start. Bowser is playing like a leader.Odd to me that we got more injuries against Morgan State than Penn State.
  15. Anybody happen to catch Bain on the field yesterday? I saw him get double teamed a few times. I think they held him once (and we got the call) I'm only guessing here, but I would say he was in for 9 plays?!?
  16. I hope some of you fans got to see DeVoe play yesterday. Let's hope his hip (I'm guessing from the placement of the ice bag) is okay.
  17. I thought they said water color?
  18. If you weren't there, you missed a good time. Perfect stadium. Can't complain about a thing. They did it right. Stopped by the student grass on the hill, whomever thought this wasn't a good idea was dead wrong. What a great place for the students to watch a game. Well done!
  19. Tailgating was fine. I was in lot 73 and lot 9, looked like everybody was having a good time. Too many worries for nothing IMO.PS A lot of people are still tailgating, I had to leave early to get to another party.
  20. Odrick was one of the guys we could not stop...just a beast
  21. I'm on board Tom, I'll be there early.
  22. I'm intrested in the game since we play them both. I'm curious to see that d line against the Cuse.
  23. Nice find GP1. I think the same people are in charge of UM concessions. Anybody that thinks they might walk away from the stadium not impressed has obviously not been to an open house. Saturday is going to be awesome and a long time coming for us alumni.
  24. Very good point ZW. Welcome all fans, including the visiting ones. Nothing more low class than chanting A##HOL# to somebody wearing the other color.PSU fans were also gracious and hoped you had a good time. You have a classy stadium now you should represent it in a classy way.
