Hard to judge with Morgan State. They stink. I think the Offensive line needs to start to focus. They are underachieving IMO. Our most effective runs come from Martin because he was able to make the first defensive guy that got penetration miss. Should Morgan State get as much penetration as they did?!?!I like having the option of putting in a running QB. Rodgers needs to work on his passing though if he wants to see the field more, but I like putting him in for a change of pace. Gives the opposing defense something to think about. I would spy him until he proves he can throw down field. He needs to work on his progressions.I'm going to keep my eyes on Wagner next week. 9 tackles and a pick 6, nice start. Bowser is playing like a leader.Odd to me that we got more injuries against Morgan State than Penn State.

Anybody happen to catch Bain on the field yesterday? I saw him get double teamed a few times. I think they held him once (and we got the call) I'm only guessing here, but I would say he was in for 9 plays?!?

I hope some of you fans got to see DeVoe play yesterday. Let's hope his hip (I'm guessing from the placement of the ice bag) is okay.

If you weren't there, you missed a good time. Perfect stadium. Can't complain about a thing. They did it right. Stopped by the student grass on the hill, whomever thought this wasn't a good idea was dead wrong. What a great place for the students to watch a game. Well done!

Tailgating was fine. I was in lot 73 and lot 9, looked like everybody was having a good time. Too many worries for nothing IMO.PS A lot of people are still tailgating, I had to leave early to get to another party.

Nice find GP1. I think the same people are in charge of UM concessions. Anybody that thinks they might walk away from the stadium not impressed has obviously not been to an open house. Saturday is going to be awesome and a long time coming for us alumni.

''We've only got about 4,000 of them,'' Montgomery quips."Our QB looks to the sidelines and reads all the signals coming back to him, then the QB tells the OL the info, then he motions his hand down, the play clock ticks down to 2, 1..we rush the snap, the snap is off to the side so the timing of the play is thrown off, by the time the RB gets the ball the hole has closed and it's a no gain.IMO we need to simplify our offense and EXECUTE. Call a play and execute THAT play. Seems to me that we make a run play off tackle left WAY to hard to succeed. We seem to increase the risk of failing.

I've always seemed to care more about the players that play on the field, they seem to make more of a difference when it comes to winning games. It's a very rare occasion that a player that doesn't dress for a game makes an impact on the outcome of the game. I can think of a few, but not many. There was that one guy that didn't dress and tripped that return man during the game, and I'm trying to think of the other one....Here is a shot I took after the game Saturday for ZN members that like to discuss players that don't play or dress for games:Just realized I had this one from Saturday too...look close:

All these things were being done in the Rubber Bowl/Mike Thomas days (2005). All good ideas. We also need to improve our "product" and the rest should fall into place. But we will have a limited time to improve on said product with the new stadium until people lose interest. We need more fans like PSU_Lions_84, he seems motivated.

Not true Zip fans. I think most figured that the 1st game at the Info (whomever it was), Indiana and Can't State were going to sell out and got their tickets early.
