I thought they said it would be too slippery.I don't know who "they" are, but I remember posting somewhere that sod only takes two to three weeks to root.I would be a little amazed to see fans on it this year. It already looks AWESOME! I love it.

Have you been to a rainy day Zips home game? You don't see many Rowdies. I'm guessing 'Rowdies on The Rise' will be closed during bad weather. Any college football fan that has sat at Virginia on the hill to watch a game, can't, just can't be against hillside seating!?! Anybody that is against it, hasn't experienced it. Trust me, it's cool.

Results are often quick with high germination rates producing grass growth in about a week and mowing maintenance beginning around 3-4 weeks from the date of application. Fiber mulch accelerates the growing process by maintaining moisture around the seeds thereby increasing the rate of germination.Disadvantage of Hydroseeding as opposed to sodding the area.1. It will take longer to thicken.2. It will will be more susceptible to disease in NEO August as it will be humid at night. Watch out for Pythium blight.3. Water water water. Get a good automated watering system.4. Root system will not be as strong within one year, two years, etc...5. One strong thunderstorm within a week or two of planting on a hillside will wipe it out. Please take note of this one UA groundskeeper, this happen to me last year and the top highest part of my lawn has still not recovered. But the bottom of the hill looks awesome.

Coach Joe Paterno said today at the Big Ten Conference's annual media days that redshirt junior defensive tackle Abe Koroma and senior cornerback A.J. Wallace are dealing with off-the-field issues. Their lockers were cleared out earlier this month. Asked if Koroma would be back, Paterno said: "I doubt if Koroma will be. He's got some personal problems." As for Wallace, Paterno said: "There is some question. He cut some classes." Koroma, 6 feet 3, 317 pounds, started four games last year and finished with 26 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
