  1. The NCAA made he change before this season. I wonder who realized they were doing it backwards with the rest of the world...
  2. The schedule is posted. Looks like four game weekends (with a double header on Saturday) is the new standard on college baseball. That's going to be tough on the pitching staff, especially for (basically) a brand new program. Throw in a week day one-off against usually a local non-con opponent and off we go. That makes sense, no more trips to California and Texas, no non-conference overnight $tays. Maybe the virus brought about some common sense. Although I wanted to play Marshall again, our first win since returning My big question is will fans be allowed? Or just family? If fans stand along the fence or sit on the grassy knoll, will we be sent away? It's not an admission sport anyway. If not ZDN did a pretty good job of making the games available.
  3. I'm jealous of their baseball board. ...but their program has earned it.
  4. It worked for the MISL. ?
  5. Big game by LCJ, surprising win. Loved listening to that broadcast crew, a breath of fresh air.
  6. I hope. The ball games were last spring. No announcer or anything, just a student with a tripod. Some didn't have audio IIRC. Still much better than nothing.
  7. I haven't had a lot of luck in the past contacting Spuds in the past. Going to other college sites I penciled together a partial schedule. Several other programs don't have their schedule out yet (kind of late compared to the past). Enough to start making plans. They're at Miami 5/21-23, we have friends down there. Most of the MAC games are in April and May this season.
  8. sar·casm | \ ˈsär-ˌka-zəm \ 1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain 2a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual b: the use or language of sarcasm
  9. All those women’s sports aren’t going to pay for themselves (or attend football games for that matter).
  10. Pete was very smart, but I saw him as more of a “Gary Dee of sports talk”.
  11. He ran an entertaining show. Much better than most of the current locals not named Carman, or Rizzo BITD. Loved his radio shows, TV shows, the How Come Quickies, he was very knowledgeable but didn’t beat you over the head with it. It’s a sad day.
  12. Just end it already
  13. Ali gets T’d
  14. Down by 14. Just that quick.
  15. I wonder when Baseball will post their schedule.
  16. ^unfortunately that's probably based in part with David Egbo being listed on their roster.
  17. If this works out and becomes the new norm, the playoffs could be played in nice weather, and the College Cup could be played anywhere there was a reasonable bid.
  18. Would make for an interesting "double header".
  19. Nice win!!
  20. His height might be the one negative.
  21. They had me worried the first 3/4 of the game
  22. I e been saying that for awhile. Take the P5 conference champions (making those games more interesting). 1-2 “at large” and 1-2 G5 programs. If that made more money than the current system, they would be doing it...
  23. True, the other schools can make bank at the bowl games. But there are no Cinderella stories or Gonzaga’s in the football playoffs. That’s not what the network$ want.
  24. Same elite teams every year. And everyone else just follows along. It rEminds me of the NBA in elitism. OK, “dynastic “. The NCAA College puts 19% of the basketball programs in the post season. It puts 3% of the football teams in. Why? Follow the money. In football the tv network wants those three team$ in, along with one other legacy school with zillions of fans. That 4th team can rotate, but nobody else gets in. TCU? Cincinnati? Go find a mega- fanba$e and come back and see us. There will never be a level playing field in football with the NCAA in charge. College basketball isn’t as centered around a handful of legacy programs. They have their favorites of course but in hoops there’s the bracketology, the upsets, the drama. They make their annual budget on the Tournament. All 63 games.
