Darlington, Scott, and Teal all played significant time. Darlington had the better game. Bruce Arena is getting up there in age, I remember watching him coach in the inaugural MLS season.

That game reminded me of the old saying, "When a stoppable force meets a movable object".

First off, the virus was found to start on the Wuhan Peninsula marketplaces. Specifically where humans eat bats. The Chinese government tried to hide the fact they had an epidemic, but it spread. Second, it’s not the death rate of the virus that causes the strain on our health system. It’s the amount of hospital admissions, specifically ICU admissions that the authorities look at. When hospitals fill up and elective procedures get cancelled, that affects us all. Cleveland Clinic wanted to turn an education hall into a makeshift ICU, but there were over 900 nurses off work with the illness. The virus might not have a huge death rate, but when it decimates the health care system, we all are affected.

Everyone is avoiding the one big reason to stay status quo. The payday games and weeknight games that generate the revenue ALL Zips sports rely on to stay on the field. I’ve yet to hear a single person prove that wrong, or come up with another source of income at least as good... If we drop down, the objective is to win a conference championship. If we stay FBS, the objective is to win a conference championship and pay a big chunk of the bills of the precious sports that the football haters on this forum love. No non-football fan wants to acknowledge this simple fact, or come up with the digits those games they criticize every week.

Interesting question. What does everyone think of Tom and his staff as far as X’s and O’s go? Are they building a good game plan every week and making proper adjustments, but don’t have their players developed and experienced enough? Or, is he lost in space?

When they're players HE recruited.

Not at all. But it doesn't take a Paul Brown to see what kind of roster Bowden left us. Or what happens when you start a bunch of underclassmen in Division 1 football. Even at the MAC level.

So, who would you have hired at, whatever your acceptable salary is, who would come in and start winning multiple FBS games with a depleted roster, in just a few months? This should be interesting...

I can vouch they have a terrific program.

I'm thankful the Athletic Department hasn't been decimated (yet) by the university's money problems and the virus. It is the one thing that brings me back to campus. It reconnects me to my alma mater. And for this forum, one place to talk about all the sports I'm interested in and learn more about them without the usual cyber cesspool.

No more butt splinters!!!

Do we know for sure this is the case? Between the university's (and athletic department's) money problems, and the Coronavirus cancelling MAC fall sports (and then football coming back with very little gate), how many rides did Coach Arth have to give this year?

If there were a city that could pull that off, it would be Indy. Between Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indiana U's and Butler U's fieldhouses, and several smaller arenas for practice facilities, I think they could handle it. They could take notes from the NBA, MLS, NHL. Their bubbles were a lot more effective at keeping everyone healthy and playing than MLB and NFL business-as-usual have.

I don't think Kent has punted.

Crimony, one of us could have gained 10 or 15 on that play.

This reminds me of the MAC shootouts of a few years ago.

Am I seeing this?

They picked the perfect week to put it all together

I'm a Zips fan, and take pride in their accomplishments. Especially those who overcame a lot in their pro careers. Even if they are not GOAT.

385 pitchers pitched in the AL this season. That puts Chris in the top 2%.

after the game one player was trying to pick a fight with a couple OU players, and got escorted to Tom by a ref. Tom wasn't amused.

Yay. At least one more week of seeing that graphic showing our longest losing streak. I try to stay positive, but we're approaching iCoach Bad. ...and to top it off we have one kid being taken home to dad by the principal.

They're trying to give it to us. We don't know how to take it.

Well that was fugly. Horrible wounded duck pass. Should have ate it.

Dang, ALMOST a SC Top 10 catch...
