  1. Manhattan @ Iona at 7pm. K.S.U.cks @ Ohio at 9pm.
  2. WMU is winning the boards, 47-32...We've given up 22 offensive rebounds(17 pts off of them).
  3. Definitely a lot to still work on defensively. I think we'll be fine offensively. We get in these droughts when our defense isn't in sync.
  4. Nice back to back 3's by Kretzer to get some momentum into half. Now get a defensive rebound!!!!!
  5. So many offensive boards given up..need to fix that if we're going to win or even pull away from this game.
  6. I haven't seen it posted anywhere yet, so I'll just put it on here. If it was posted elsewhere already, I apologize for this post. EDIT: Wow. Maybe it's time for me set up an eye appointment. Yikes...
  7. This is what happens when you play to NOT lose...you eventually set yourself up TO lose.
  8. Even Bobby Bowden on air said he would like to see the offense open up more down the field.
  9. https://youtu.be/yT2fe7Z3Z8A https://youtu.be/GPdcAmVJD14
  10. Lady Zips win 74-49. They held YSU 21 pts below their average. Great D, and great W!!!!!
  11. Up 36-21 at the half. Very impressive as this YSU team is 9-1 and only loss came to Penn State by 12-15 pts. They beat k.e.n.t. by 30(91-61).
  12. Huge game vs YSU tonight. They have a solid team. Wish #14 was in Blue & Gold instead. She's from my high school alma mater and I enjoyed watching last season's run to the State Semifinals.
  13. Congrats to Fenlason on a great performance. He just had the #1 play on SportsCenter(like a few minutes ago) with that one in the first overtime that I have no idea how he saw the shot coming.
  14. I don't care if we lose this game on a Fenlason error. What a game by him!!!! I don't think I can handle pk's...
  15. EXACTLY six years ago to this day was this: Hopefully it's the same result, but in a different way. I don't think I can handle pk's this year.
  16. While we're at it, I haven't seen anyone post this, but here's Stanford's coach. Talks about the Akron game from the 10:40 minute on in the video
  17. Goal #2 I Believe
  18. Wish they would have shown the celebration, but this is the goal
  19. It's a great time to be a Zip fan. Stop complaining and enjoy the opportunity. Akron soccer back in National Semifinals, Akron football in bowl game, and 3 former Akron soccer players including 3 coaches as well, specifically Caleb Porter, just won the MLS Cup in Columbus, OH of all places(where 3 former Akron players were on the other half of the pitch for Columbus Crew as well). EDIT: Thanks Zip_ME87. I totally forgot about Cameron Knowles.
  20. 4 mentions of Akron so far
  21. Over/Under on number of times Akron is mentioned during MLS Cup telecast. I'll put it at 2.5 but expect it to be the over.
  22. I may have posted this week on their east coast platoon page that anyone who was flying or driving in for the game Sunday and wanted to see a game before then, I told them about the Elite Eight game at Akron on Saturday.
  23. Not much talk there, but here's the forum for Creighton soccer fans http://www.bluejayunderground.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3599&start=250
  24. I just hope the crowd is better next week. As a former student, I am embarrassed that there hasn't been a march AT ALL this season. The leadership of the Rowdies need to step up. I've been promoting it all over the place so far. Hoping that gets at least a few more people in the seats there. I even went onto a Portland East Coast fan page on facebook for anyone driving into the MLS Cup match on Sunday, that if they come earleir they can watch an NCAA Elite Eight game in Akron for $10 if they can't wait for soccer until Sunday. If only Akron athletic department came out with a pump-up video like they did for 2010...
  25. They only lost one to graduation, but they lost a few to transferring out. For example, starting freshman point guard, Kerri McMahan, transferred to St. Louis(former assistant coach, Glenn Box, is one of the coaches there. He may have recruited her originally to Akron). Another key transfer is Katie Nunan. She went back home to Fairmont State in West Virginia. Because it's not a DI school, she can play right away and has done well for them so far this season. Huge part of them being undefeated in DII right now. Unfortunately, when that happens and you're playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores as your bench/depth, things aren't going to go well for you. Plus, beefing the non-conference schedule has been another reason for the 20 point losses. This team will get better, but it's hard to overcome the transfers.
