  1. Might go interim this year and have a full season to find the successor. I hope not because that would put a certain head coach in the discussion for it if that head coach and team has the success that we all think they will have this season.
  2. I wish I could go to this on the 21st, but I have a parent getting two surgeries within the next few weeks (first one being June 15th), and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get away long enough to take the trip there and back (the drive to Akron and back will be as long as this event). Should be a fun night for those that have the chance to go with all the newcomers into the program (staff and student-athletes).
  3. The comments (in the replies on Twitter) make it sound like Guthrie didn't want to keep Donnelly. I didn't read the Rogers tweet that way at all. Sounded to me like a Sun Belt school may have seen what he did this season and wants to make him their coach. From Donnelly's perspective, it's probably a no-brainer that Sun Belt (better weather) baseball is an ideal better conference than the MAC, especially in recruiting.
  4. In the release: 2023-24 Akron Women's Basketball Signing Class (as of May 10, 2023) Olivia Brown, G, 6-1, Fishers, Ind. (Hamilton Southeastern) Teniesha Clarke, G, 5-9, Burlington, Ontario (AN Meyer Secondary | Niagara Prep) Morgan Haney, G, 5-8, Piqua, Ohio (Miami East | Albany) Leila Jones, G/F, 5-10, Westerville, Ohio (Westerville South) Dacia Lewandowski, G, 5-11, Pittsburgh, Pa. (North Catholic) Alexus Mobley, G, 5-7, Indianapolis, Ind. (Franklin Central | Danville CC) Lanae Riley, 6-2, F, Akron, Ohio (Archbishop Hoban/Middle Tennessee State) Liisa Taponen, 6-5, C, Tampere, Finland (Mäkelänrinteen Upper Secondary School/Illinois) Kaia Woods, 5-3, G, Tiffin, Ohio (Royal Crown Academy/Washington State)
  5. Here's the interview with him from several months ago when he was on that show the first time Here is the one from the other day that Sergeant Zip posted about with just the Kaulig interview part:
  6. I would love to see the MAC tourney return here next year if they're going to a 6-team format. The high school softball state championships are held there every year.
  7. To me, generating interest from a press conference in March/April for a season that doesn't start until October/November isn't the most ideal, but that's just me. Even a meet & greet doesn't make sense this early. You have seniors that won't be around, transfers/freshmen may not even be on campus yet, some students that you're targeting to go to games wouldn't even be there in the Fall while missing out on the incoming freshmen class of students. Having a meet & greet in the Fall in September/October makes a lot of sense to me to generate more interest. But again, I don't have "20+ years in marketing/advertising/PR talking" so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about here 🤷‍♂️
  8. You and the press conference again 😂 It's not that big of a deal in my opinion, especially in today's world. Does every head coaching change get a press conference? I don't recall women's soccer, baseball, softball, and/or T & F getting one. I'd be more interested in a meet & greet than a press conference because how much of the media would really be at the press conference? Community engagement would be more effective with a meet & greet than a press conference in my opinion.
  9. I didn't realize the MAC has only the top 4 seeds qualify now for the conference tournament. I thought they were a lock in an 8 team conference tournament. Oops 🤦‍♂️ The fact they were competitive this year is a great start for the new staff and the student-athletes in this program.
  10. 2026. I'm just now getting the chance to add it to the list as well as another one today.
  11. So what does this mean for Freeman? Does this hurt/help him coming back? Or is it a given he won't back out of the draft?
  12. Already in the transfer portal.
  13. I'm still working on the old offers and figuring that out which is why those ones haven't been added yet. I'm working on adding those ones from 2024 and younger to the list sometime this weekend. I just want to do a little research first to see if I'm missing any of them. Those currently on the list are the three commits under Jackson & the rest have been commitments/ offers from Gensler.
  14. As of Yesterday (04/26)
