I heard through the vine there will be some homebrew at the Howard game.

Zipmeister & Buckzip. What fantasy world are you living in? Our d linemen are fantastic. The Zips don't play in the SEC. Hello.
-
If you want a Zips jersey, get one from Akron Felt & Chenille.
-
Not in the MAC. Chuck Amotta wants athletic d linemen.
-
I anticipate some significant changes to the 2 deep before MAC play begins. I too, am surprised by Boyett not being on the 2 deep (he didn't play in the last scrimmage, wonder if he's injured?) and Givens not being a starter. Sliding Pittman inside puts Hollis with the 2s. That tells me we have a pretty legit d line because Keontae is no slouch. The news that no freshmen are on the 2 deep shows how far Bowden & Co. have improved the roster in a short time. Can't wait til Thursday.

Good picture of TS67 and the gold helmet.

If the BG game is a blackout game, they should have a promo giveaway. Every fan wearing black will get a commemorative black ski mask with a gold Z embroidered on it as the Zips rob the Falcons of their 2nd consecutive trip to Detroit. Powers that be, feel free to steal my idea.

1-2 million dollars or 6 Saturday night home games? No brainer. How can you put a price tag on fun?
-
As I have stated before, I am a selfish fan. #Maction games are fantastic when I am not attending in person. If I am attending, I prefer the game to kick on Saturday night. Weekday night games are not only tailgater unfriendly, but are not attendance friendly in general and I think an empty stadium looks terrible on television. My 2 cents. One thing that would make #Maction games better to view on television is a competent announcing team that is well versed on the conference instead of a couple of d-list rum dum rookies who work off a cheat sheet all night.

I tried to do a little research on the Bison, but found very little information. I did see that their QB is the 2013 MEAC Offensive Player of the Year. I don't know what to expect from the offense. I am not going to get my hopes up too much on that side of the ball. Defensively, I want to see a 1985 Bears type beat down.

Hirschman is still hobbled. Why oh why couldn't he have just walked off the field after throwing that TD pass vs. JMU?

LZip, A small group of us ZN.o'ers watched the scrimmage today. I made some observations. We shall see if the others agree or not. First of all, Pohl, Chisholm and Boyett did not play at all. I hope their absence had everything to do with the offense doing absolutely nothing. And I mean nothing. They looked inept. Now, that being said, the defense looks fantastic. So that puts us back to the age old question: Does our fantastic defense make the offense look a lot worse than they really are or does our awful offense make the defense look better than they really are? Dunno, but the d is passing the eyeball test. Zipgrad01 said the defense has a bad attitude in a good way. I agree. You can tell the unit is a tight family. They cheer each other on. They stay after practice and work longer. They're cocky. They have some serious swagger going on. The defense looks incredibly fit. The linebacking corp is fearsome and deep. The defensive line appears to be almost entirely capable of playing both inside and out. Capi lined up at left tackle a lot and Cody Grice played quite a bit at right end. Hollis is a man. Pittman is a stud. Okafor and Horner are quick off the edge. The defensive line got consistent pressure on the qbs all day. Don't even get me started talking about the hit man JB1. March is as steady as ever and Mizell looks like he is ready to hand out ass whoopins & lollypops but he is fresh out of lollypops. Secondary looked good, but I might be able to play safety with this front 7. Just sayin'. The offense was the other side of the coin. Spittin' and a sputterin'. It looks the the hurry up is a thing of the past. No tempo whatsoever. It was a horrible thing to behold. All who love the Zips: Please pray for Kyle Pohl's health. If he goes down we are in trouble. Neither Woodson (who played wity the 1s), Hirschmann nor Kincade could get anything going. Chapman played about 5 downs and by far far far in a way looked the best of the 4.Too bad he is not eligible. All who love the Zips: Please pray for Jawon Chisholm's health. If he goes down we are in trouble. Granted, Hundley did not play today and he would have toughed out some yards, but neither Lawrence, Morgan nor Jones look like they can spell Chizz. O-line looks out of sync. Pressure came both off the edges and up the middle. This has me worried. OTOH, Tommy Brown looked good at right tackle in limited work. TS67 is a mainstay at center and it looks like he has a nice backup in Ericksen. That boy is big enough to eat hay. No one stood out at WR. Lots of drops. I guess ZD11 had a couple of nice possession grabs over the middle but not much to speak of with this unit. Disappointing. DM56 was on the sideline but did not participate. Best news of the day: Talked to Keontae Hollis for a hot second after practice and he said (drum roll please)... Johnny Robinson and Donte Williams are cleared to play. Both were there today. Williams played and Robinson still hqs to go through his acclimation period. Good news for sure. Last thing: Print a roster for the first couple of games. Half the team has a new number.

It would be great if you included a picture of said quality crap to appease those of us who are less fortunate and not received theirs yet!

The Zips are missing a great opportunity here to show up looking like the Nits in the 1st half, then change uniforms for the second half to the black and gold. They will think they are playing UCF again.

Sh/be shouldn't be.

I see tosu alot on message boards. This has always confused me. What I think you are trying to type is fosu. That makes more sense to me.

13 is not high enough for the heat seeking missile known as Jatavis Brown.

Another video posted today.

I am very anxious to see this defense. The turnaround is astounding, since just a couple of years ago they couldn't stop anybody. Kudos to the staff in getting some more talent in here and coaching them up. Should be fun.

If the P5 only play each other, there is a real problem for the blue bloods. How can they continue to play 8 home games? Fellow P5ers are probably going to demand home & homes. Perhaps i am wrong and conference have-nots will be willing to play 4 home games a year to appease the traditional powers and collect additional paychecks to invest in their basketball programs.

ZipsWin! & I attended Brew Haven 2014 in New Haven, Indiana last Saturday. It was a very nice event. http://www.facebook.com/BrewHavenFestival
